Position Summary

 

In this position, you will have a vital role in coordinating the receipt of international products to third-party warehouses and customers, ensuring a seamless and efficient handling process for incoming shipments. You will have the chance to implement effective controls for demurrage and gaps, contributing to the overall success of our operations.This role offers a unique opportunity to collaborate closely with various teams, including Logistics, Transportation, Demand and Supply Planning (D&SP), Sales, 3PL Partners (Logistics & Distribution), International Customer Service, E2E Category Manager, and Regional Supply Chain Manager. Your strong collaboration skills will be essential in achieving our shared goals and delivering exceptional results.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Manage inbound financials and provide budget forecasts and performance reports to HQ and internal leadership.
  • Review steamship and carrier allocation, time in transit, and delays.
  • Implement cost-saving initiatives for the inbound operation to decrease freight charges.
  • Submit DF (Delivery and Freight) reports to Finance and Leadership.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess inbound capacity risks on a weekly/monthly basis.
  • Maintain operational relationship with freight forwarders and contribute to operational/business reviews with Procurement.
  • Identify opportunities for new port openings to reduce shipment wait time.
  • Establish a process for auditing freight forwarder invoices through our freight auditing provider.
  • Collaborate with HQ and freight forwarders to improve shipment tracking visibility and identify areas for enhanced visibility into delays at origin/destination.
  • Manage and maintain carrier performance.
  • Lead initiatives for sourcing carriers based on cost and performance.
  • Take charge of inbound projects such as freight auditing, shipment visibility, port openings, and cost savings.
  • Generate daily inbound reports on international shipments.
  • Report discrepancies on freight invoices.
  • Provide KPIs for international supply chain operations review and market operational reviews on a monthly basis.
  • Prepare reports and analyses for performance/business reviews with third parties on a monthly/quarterly basis.
  • Report on demurrage costs and forecast on a weekly/monthly basis.

 

Experience & Education Requirements:

 

  • Bachelor's Degree required, preferably in Supply Chain or equivalent work experience.
  • 3-5 years of professional experience in Supply Chain, Logistics, and dealing with 3rd Party Warehousing strongly preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills with a high attention to detail.
  • Strong administration and reporting skills.
  • Experience in creating Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and gathering business requirements.
  • Effective influencing skills.
  • Experience in Customs/HTS Classification.
  • Knowledge of Distribution/Logistics and quality standards in logistics.
  • Good communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Strong analytical and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Results-focused with a strong service orientation, as well as strong organizational and planning skills.
  • Attention to detail and adherence to schedules.

 

The approximate pay range for this position is $75,000.00 to $85,000.00. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to knowledge, skills and abilities as well as geographic location.
