Position Summary

 

This role is responsible for leading internal communications for Nespresso USA. They will contribute to building and protecting the brand’s reputation in the US market, and proactively telling the brand’s corporate story primarily internally with a direct connection to external Communications, specifically engaging employees and driving a strong, purpose-driven culture. Through purposeful, strategic and engaging communications, the Internal Communications function is on a mission to deeply connect Nespresso employees to our company, our leaders, to our consumers, and to each other.

 

A Day in the Life:

Own & implement Internal Communications plans, strategies and tactics that support business goals and objectives for Nespresso by:
 • Assessing needs, writing, editing, producing, and managing distribution of internal communications content 
• Creating content in alignment with Nespresso brand identity standards and communication guidelines 
• Proposing, testing and developing innovative communication approaches (intranet, videos, digital screens, presentations, conferences, and e-mails)
 • Ensuring consistency of messages across all internal communication channels
 • Providing corporate templates and tools (newsletter, templates and guidelines) to all departments

 

Ensure the organization's internal and external communications strategies are aligned and brand reputation is protected by:
 • Partnering closely with Marketing, leadership and cross-functional teams to develop, implement, and manage a strategic, 360-degree communications plan that drives Nespresso’s US business objectives, enhances the employee experience and strengthens the company's reputation
 • Contributing internal POV to Brand and editorial calendar planning, identifying internal storylines that support Nespresso’s external business and brand purpose story (specifically employee, management, and corporate initiative stories) 
• Participating in Communications and Content Hub meeting, as necessary, to drive alignment 
• Coordinating with PR agency, as appropriate.

 

Advise and counsel senior management on the use of internal communications: 
• Support Management in preparing and delivering key communications / events (e.g. presentations, Town Hall, celebration and teambuilding events, etc.)
 • Provide direct support and coaching to build their communication competencies 
• Collaborating on and connecting internal communications by Senior Management with external Executive Visibility strategies (part of Brand Communications)
• Establish metrics, track progress and develop tools to improve communication effectiveness

 

Winning Skill Sets:

• Bachelor’s degree required in communications, journalism or related discipline, marketing
• Minimum 7-10 years of experience in internal communications, writing, marketing or related experience 
• Strong project management experience from stakeholder management to planning 
• Experience in media relations preferred 
• Experience in managing cross-functional projects and stakeholders required 
• Experience directly supporting executives with communications required 
• Experience handling high stakes, fast-moving crises preferred 
• Experience managing teams and working cross-functionally in highly matrixed organizations preferred 
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple demanding initiatives concurrently, balancing multiple priorities, working with minimal supervision and meeting deadlines
