Position Summary:
As the Inventory Planning Manager you will be responisible for making a significant impact on our Demand & Supply Planning Strategy as we define and translate long-term objectives into short-medium term objectives for Inventory Planning. As the subject matter expert for network planning, you will play a crucial role in optimizing the movement of goods throughout our network and creating detailed site-specific forecasts linked to budgets. In this leadership role, you will set the strategy and oversee the replenishment of each dispatch point, ensuring we meet our customer service objectives while maintaining optimal stock cover. Additionally, you will take distribution costs and freshness into account. Your contributions will be instrumental in our strategic and tactical business planning, with a particular focus on reducing variable distribution expenses through stock movement efficiencies.

Key Responsibilities:
- Inventory Management: contribute to the DSP Strategy definition and translate long-term objective for DSP to short-medium term objective for Inventory Planning.
- Lead as the subject matter expert for network planning, focused on the optimal movement of goods throughout the network, and creation of detailed by site forecasts linked to VDE and FDC budgets. Creates and maintains the strategy to be used for movement of goods throughout the network assessing the need for product availability versus the need to minimize costs of inventory to ensure optimum stocks of the right material in the right location.
- In addition to daily/weekly replenishment of DC’s, this includes:
- Load planning: Plan and optimize loads taking into account transportation constraints.Develop load optimization model targeting DC replenishment freight reductions
- BOL & EOL planning: influencing the ECOMM, Marketing, and Delivery services team to align product life cycle to both customer experience and freight cost management
- Optimal/Suboptimal Fulfillment Planning: daily/weekly evaluation of the network, identifying all orders that cannot ship from an optimal DC (stock, DC output, delayed in transit, etc), and recommending the best solution focused on driving customer satisfaction balancing the most efficient transit. Influence logistics on long term output needs of each dc from a demand perspective
- Budget Management:
- Cost control - Internal transfer costs related to the Inventory Spread accross the network and Subopt costs related to the order preparation in the Optimal DC.
- Influence demand planning to adjust production and dispatch plans targeting optimal spread and cost reduction
- Provide key variable forecasts to Logistics & 3PL to target decreases VDE Budget from a demand perspective
- Cross functional Collaboration:
- Challenge inventory levels to drive optimum free goods inventory level, as well as to support Demand Planning Manager to improve DPA
- Establish stock cover needs for Finished Goods. Review the stock level of the full network to pro-actively look for solutions in case of deviations.
- Exceptions management: Analyze exceptions, to take business decisions and to adjust planning results accordingly. Work with DSP to establish production requirements (AMZ/retailers) for short and long term and to follow up production plans.
- Manage & Develop People:
- Develop high performing IP team members in alignment with the People process cycle, by:
- Create alignment, lead by example, promote an open culture and our values in a sustainable way. (Sustain the change)
- Select talent : recruit and onboard people and plan capabilities for the future.
- Develop people : train, coach, create and define effective development plan and asses talent, building the right capabilities for the team and for the organization long-term success.
- Drive performance : empower and enable people, give and receive feedback, evaluate and differentiate performance, constantly challenge the set up organization to ensure its results and effectiveness.
- Recognize achievements : give and receive recognition, reward performance.
Experience & Education Requirements:
• BA/BS Degree required (Industrial Engineering, Finance, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration preferred).
• 5+ years of supply chain, manufacturing/distribution/warehouse operations, inventory control, or physical logistics experience, required
• Professional Experience in Logistics/EDI/Stock Reconciliation and dealing with 3rd Party Warehousing, preferred
• Advance Excel, SQL or cognos, required
• Evidence of successful process improvement leadership in operations and/or supply chain preferred
• Strong working knowledge of Electronic Data Interchange and Warehouse Management Systems preferred
• NCE/DMAIC/GSTD experience preferred.
• Preferably previous experiences in consumer goods industry and/or B2C, retail logistics
The approximate pay range for this position is $125,000.00 to $145,000.00. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to knowledge, skills and abilities as well as geographic location.
