POSITION SUMMARY:

 

We are looking for a result-driven Digital Commerce Optimization Lead who will play a pivotal role in the commercial evolution of Nespresso’s DTC business. You will be a part of the Business Development group within the larger Nespresso Digital Commerce team and responsible for accelerating the revenue growth and commercial initiatives across Nespresso’s digital properties. You will join a dynamic and growing team who are responsible for delivering revenue growth while working cross-functionally with Marketing, Supply Chain, Retail, and Data & Insights to develop and operationalize commercial plans and digital experiences. This is a great opportunity to become a business owner for a leading consumer brand, take on P&L management responsibility and cooperate with a range of senior stakeholders across Nespresso US and HQ.

 

The Digital Commerce Optimization Lead will be responsible for: 1) delivering revenue growth through commercial planning, promotional development, and cross-functional partnerships 2) leading the development and prioritization of initiatives on the Nespresso US Digital Commerce roadmap while optimizing assigned digital domains and prioritizing new features and functionalities to improve customer experience and drive conversion, and 3) serving as the main point of contact for assigned key cross-functional teams and stakeholders to enable digital success of key company initiatives outside the direct team. This position is hybrid, with weekly support in our Manhattan, NY HQ combined with remote work.

 

RESPONSIBILITES:

 

DTC Commercial Acceleration and Planning

Understanding of business strategy, commercial planning, opportunity/risk development, and customer insights to be able to:

 

  • Drive and deliver business plan each month by staying on top of KPIs and understanding/reacting to business trends and intervening where needed; ability to create business plans to advocate for additional investment/support to drive commercial results
  • Obsess about the traffic, conversion, and AOV trends of your business, continuously looking for opportunities to make the digital experience ‘1% better’ to drive sales and customer lifetime value
  • Own the monthly forecast and represent Digital Commerce in monthly sales planning cycle, ensuring alignment across all other key stakeholders
  • Drive sales growth through promotional planning and DTC value-proposition development; leverage Data & Insights team to optimize your GtM planning and find areas of incremental growth; partner closely with CX team (Marketing) to build, enhance, and activate promotion plan
  • Be innovative and 'have an 'always-on optimization' mindset, continuously looking for new opportunities and growth vectors and consult with Media and DTC activation team to plan out all other demand driving activities to meet with monthly /yearly targets
  • Own the financial forecast process, including PO management and ensuring accurate budgeting / forecasting of investments
  • Know your business and numbers, working cross functionally with Data & Insights team to provide visibility into performance

 

Digital Product Management (influence global and own local)

Understanding of digital technologies, platforms and tools are essential. This includes knowledge / familiarity with web development, mobile apps, APIs, data analytics and MACH / composable architectures, to be able to:

    

  • Drive local product vision, roadmap development, and feature prioritization while influencing Global HQ in these areas leveraging local insights, customer journeys, and knowledge of Us including consideration and knowledge of UX principles and user centric designs
  • Manage the development and optimization of specific domains/products within the Digital Commerce ecosystem; leverage data and insights to find new opportunities for growth and lead/influence the scoping and rollout of new local features and functionalities that drive engagement and conversion
  • Lead the cross-functional end-to-end coordination from planning through to execution for short- and long-term digital experiences, owning and driving the ideation/creation process (Analyze, Brainstorm, Define, Plan, Build, and Optimize) ensuring a consistent flow of optimizations and opportunities

 

Cross-Functional Partnership & Commercial Development

  • Work cross-functionally with Marketing, Supply, Trade, Data & Insights, and HQ teams to bring to life new commercial and digital experiences; represent Digital Commerce in cross-function Hub meetings to incorporate commercial strategy/vision and best-practices
  • Be a cross-functional champion of new commercial and domain/product initiatives, driving projects from alignment and planning through to execution
  • Lead and influence the planning of the yearly digital planning on Nespresso's digital properties, ensuring cross-functional roadmaps are considered within local Digital Commerce operation plan
  • Drive data-driven decision-making while being nimble and flexible to rapidly changing business and evolving digital landscape; Stay informed on latest industry trends and emerging technologies to find new vectors for commercial growth while being an organizational through leader

 

REQUIREMENTS:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in eComm / Digital product management, analytics, operations and / or commercial management
  • 3+ years’ experience using Optimization tools like Optimize, Qubit, Maxymiser etc.
  • Agile & SCRUM PM experience is a plus
  • Familiarity with UX principles and user-centric designs is a plus
  • Understanding of the online acquisition activities and their impact on eCommerce sites
  • Keen problem-solving and organizational abilities are necessary
  • Knowledge in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, experience across multiple CMS & photoshop tools is a plus
  • Excellent knowledge of Web Analytics tools, Google Analytics, GA4
  • Experience of using user-based analytics. Usabilla, Session Cam, Content Square, etc.

 

SKILLS:

 

  • Strong collaboration and communication skills
  • Proven experience in working and influencing people, teams/functions not in direct reporting line.
  • Proven proofreading skills and exceptional attention to detail

The approximate pay range for this position is $140,000- $160,000 base. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to knowledge, skills, and abilities as well as geographic location.
