Position Summary:
We are seeking a strategic, data driven UX/UI Manager who is curious and passionate about user behavior. The right candidate will excel at applying a deep understanding of qualitative analysis (journey mapping etc.) and quantitative data (web analytics, purchase behavior etc.) to Nespresso's UX/UI across all digital properties (responsive website and app). This role requires deep expertise in design and ability to build strong partnerships with intra-team stakeholders and cross departments. This is a hands-on role focused on improving the UX and UI of the website in collaboration with the ecommerce manager, Sr ecomm analyst, Sr visual merchandiser, operations team, and marketing teams.
Responsibilities:
- Identify and establish eCommerce user experience strategy by envisioning complex UX ecosystems (user journeys, personas, archetypes) and inspire teams to push the boundaries of what's possible to create desired business outcomes
- Work with the Sr. eCommerce Manager to develop a clear vision for the future of user experience at Nespresso US and lead a sophisticated approach to forward-thinking design
- Plan, conduct, and synthesize research in collaboration with cross functional teams using data driven design methodology and tools (existing and new)
- Introduce agile methodology and collaborate with key stakeholders to create best in class, personalized experiences across all digital properties
- Hands on development (or working with agency partners as needed) to create visual storyboards, behavioral prototypes, user flows, final design assets, hi-fidelity mock-ups, wireframes, and lightweight design specifications with internal stakeholders to craft intuitive E2E experiences
- Collaborates with key stakeholders to develop robust insight generation and testing plan for all products, experiences, and journeys with focus on useability, accessibility, and intrusiveness
- Lead full cycle design projects of medium scale from design strategy through execution
- Collaborate with HQ team to ensure future iterations of digital properties (website, app) are founded on recommendations of the market
- Responsible for creating a UX/UI center of competency for the market, establishing guidelines and evolving ways of working to support agile forward-thinking design
- Stay current with trends in UX, design web/app technology and e-commerce contributing to ongoing excellence and upskilling plan across the broader team
- Evolve company Design Language as well as establish main design standards
- Be a strong champion for superior UX within the company and on behalf of the market
- Balance UI/UX best practices, aesthetics, and user research with business objectives on an everyday basis to enable optimal decision making both in the near term and future
- Passionate and insatiably curious about user behavior, psychology, and ability to effectively mine and use data to identify areas of opportunity
- Ground ideas in data by partnering with the Sr. eCommerce analyst, external partners (Content Square, Userlytics etc.) and internal data insights & analytics team to incorporate customer insights and principles throughout the creative process
- Ensure continuous site experience improvement by measuring design effectiveness and implementing necessary changes
- Collaborate with the Web Analytics to lead and run A/B tests using Google Optimize
- Advise the e-Commerce Manager regarding the revenue and CX impact of specific content addition/upgrade on the site
- Determine future tools to evolve insight generation and data visualization that will inform UX improvements
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree
- 8+ years experience with UX design
- Portfolio of work demonstrating breadth and depth in UX and visual design, including approach and process
- Advanced degree in Website design, UX, Cognitive Psychology or related field highly preferred
- Experience in the Consumer Package Goods Industry (CPG) or luxury goods is a plus
- Experience using design and prototyping tools such as Sketch, In Vision, Figma and/or other UX & prototyping software
- Clear and current understanding of the capabilities and limitations of HTML, CSS, JavaScript & developing platforms
Skills:
- Strategic thinker understanding both short- and long-term business consequences of all
- Experience translating consumer insights into usability experiences
- Experience with human centered innovation approaches
- Knowledge of HTML & CSS a plus
- Ability to think strategically and analytically while executing tactically

The approximate pay range for this position is $ 145,000 - $170,000 base. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to knowledge, skills, and abilities as well as geographic location.
