Marketing Analytics Lead

Position Summary

We are seeking a Marketing Analytics Lead that will be responsible for continuously analyzing performance of marketing spend throughout the organization (including performance media & trade marketing spend) and determining optimizations to increase monetization of marketing and hit additional non sales KPIs like Brand Awareness and Consideration. This role will also consult with the Marketing Channel Owners on new initiatives and testing of new channels, pushing teams to innovate will reducing risk.


A Day in the Life:
• Lead Nespresso's media measurement activities as they relate to marketing mix modelling, attribution modelling, and lift studies directed to understand media performance, drive operational synergies, and maximize media budget effectiveness.
• Lead team to run optimizations and deep dive analyses that provide detailed, actionable recommendations on how to optimize spend across channels to meet business goals
• Partner with Internal & External stakeholders to determine optimal PFME budget allocations to meet upper and lower funnel business goals
• Own the relationship with key measurement agencies and be the first point of contact between them and internal Nespresso business groups.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to determine proper reporting cadences and ensure recommendations and follow-ups are acted upon in a timely fashion.
• Present findings, insights, and recommendations on media spend allocations to senior leaders in Marketing, B2C, HQ, and ManCom in partnership with media counterparts.
• Own discussion points on technical recommendations and attribution methodology.
• Redesign and implement a new pre and post evaluation process for PFME spend in partnership with Finance that uses the outputs of the attribution model
• Partner with business stakeholders on the completion of pre and post analyses, providing key data inputs and interpretation of performance
• Evaluate how initiatives perform holistically and use learnings to inform future initiatives
• Stay up to date with the latest industry trends, tools, and best practices to ensure that Nespresso operates at the forefront of audience utilization.
• Test new activation channels in partnership with marketing and media channel owners, utilizing the tool to estimate potential performance and build business cases
• Identify ways to expand usage of the attribution model with the goal of increasing coverage to optimize as much of Nespresso's PFME as possible

 

Winning Skill Sets:
• Bachelor's degree required, preferably in STEM, Marketing or Finance
• 7+ years of experience in analytics required
• 4+ years of experience in marketing or media analytics required
• Experience in the management & deployment of attribution & marketing mix modelling within an organization
• In-depth practical knowledge of strengths and limitations of various marketing measurement approaches
• Deep understanding of key marketing metrics running the span of the purchase funnel (from awareness and consideration to impressions, CTR and ROAS).
• Highly analytical, capable of compiling, understanding, and analyzing complex datasets to glean insights and opportunities
• Strong data storytelling skills and ability to distill complex datasets into clear narratives and recommendations
• Familiarity with data visualization tools such as PowerBI a plus
• Experience building and leading a team preferred
