Position Summary:

As a  skilled Senior Demand Planner, you will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and enhancing a comprehensive Demand Plan for a diverse portfolio of products and customers. Your expertise will ensure seamless alignment of this Demand Plan with both internal and external partners through the Monthly Business Planning and Collaborative Planning processes. By proactively identifying and effectively managing exceptions, you will closely monitor performance to continuously improve the quality and reliability of the Demand Plan. This will significantly contribute to the Company's ability to swiftly sense and respond to evolving circumstances.

In this critical role, you will foster key partnerships with internal teams such as Marketing, Commercial, CRM, Finance, Customer Facing Supply Chain, Supply Planning and Inventory Management, Logistics, and HQ Supply Planning. Your contributions will be instrumental in achieving the Company's goals and maintaining a competitive edge in the market.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collect Information and Assumptions: Gather comprehensive information and assumptions regarding promotional activities, product launches and phase-outs, customer and distribution changes, business trends, production constraints, regional demand, and other relevant factors. These inputs are crucial in developing a reliable and accurate demand plan.

Ensure that demand is appropriately forecasted and maintained in all scenarios. Incorporate all business strategies and nuances into the demand plans to ensure comprehensive coverage.
  • Generate and Maintain the Forecast: Utilize your expertise and knowledge to generate, maintain, and update a statistical forecast. This involves combining sales expectations with incremental impactors and business nuances to finalize the total volume forecast for submission to HQ.
  • Drive Consensus through Monthly Business Planning Processes: Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to drive effective Monthly Business Planning (MBP) processes. Facilitate discussions and negotiations to reach a consensus on the demand plan. The demand plan derived from these processes becomes a primary input for the Dynamic Forecast.
  • Data Analysis and Reporting: Utilize your analytical skills to perform various ad-hoc reporting tasks. Explore and experiment with new ways of leveraging data and statistical methods to enhance the quality of the demand forecast and generate valuable business insights within and beyond the Demand and Supply Planning (DSP) function. Develop and maintain reports that track and monitor the statistical forecasts, provide alerts for corrections or improvements, and offer other analytical insights.
  • Teamwork: Collaborate and co-innovate with fellow Demand Planners through Analytical Competence Networks. Share knowledge and learnings to ensure continuous improvement and knowledge sharing across the entire group.
