Position Summary
The Commercial Sales Analytics Specialist (Sales) is responsible for driving deep understanding of direct business consumer and drivers of direct business as it relates to the B2B Channel. This role will have a strong focus on consumer centricity and will work transversally across B2B Sales & Marketing to connect dots with other insight areas, making actionable recommendations for the business.
Responsibilities:
• Owns questions related to channel performance and impact of business activities across channels.
• Distills data into actionable insights and synthesizes findings in ways to drive maximum impact to the business.
• Mines data sources for insights and trends to unlock business value and inform strategic decisions.
• Proactively shares findings with the wider organization and initiates analyses based on trends seen.
• Maintains sales & investment reporting to support channel business operations and long-term goals.
• Partners with the Data Capabilities team to develop performance reports/dashboards/scorecards.
• Partners with Channel Managers improve their understanding of their businesses and identify opportunities for success.
• Reviews business trends, identifying key opportunities and summarizing those findings for the retail team during internal meetings.
• Leads channel sales forecasting including product launch strategy, month-close initiatives, promotional cadence, and overall channel performance.
• Creates budget forecasts to align with identified trends.
• Conducts external industry research, in partnership with Insights team, incorporating findings into channel strategy and scenario planning.
• Partners with key stakeholders to analyze, test, and launch new initiatives to support retail objectives.
• Analyzes P&L statements for individual locations, identifying trends and developing action plans for top and bottom-line improvements where needed.
• Understands impact of incentives in driving optimal performance and makes recommendations to incentive plan accordingly.
• Performs additional tasks and duties as assigned by Manager.
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Statistics, Computer Science or in a related field.
• 4+ years of relevant work experience required, with the ability to identify trends and translate them into insights.
• Experience in putting together data and consumer insights-driven business plans, including revenue forecasts, as part of a business strategy team is highly desirable.
• Advanced skills in SQL and MS Excel required and experience with Power BI is highly desired.
• Must be able to communicate complex issues and collaborate with stakeholders (internal/external).
• Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision as well as be team oriented.
• Must have excellent problem-solving, analytical and communication (oral and written) skills.
