Sr Manager, Finance Co-Pilot

As the Sr Finance Manager, Co-pilot for Nespresso USA Operations (Supply Chain, Recycling, Bad Goods, Sustainability and TQM- budget of $250M) you will build the team and processes to support the operations of this fast growing business as they become increasingly complex.

Key Responsibilities:

Finance Co-pilot on Strategic and Operational Direction of Supply Chain network.

  • Strategic Finance partner for network expansion plans.
  • Lead negotiations with vendors.
  • Review RFP's and business cases for automation of network.
  • Create business cases for new and more cost efficiency recycling alternatives.
  • Review and make improvements to operational processes on bad goods and refurbishments and replacements of machine.

Build team and processes to support the maximum operational and cost efficiency.

  • Hire and train team to support the achievement of challenging cost and process improvements

Planning and Control

  • Establish annual budget (OP), monthly forecasts (DF) and MBS (Market Business Strategy) with cross-functional leadership team.
  • Report all expenditures versus budget monthly and analyze variances.
  • Track and analyze all major expenses and investments and provide appropriate monthly reports to local management.
  • Coordinate and motivate the identification and realization of cost savings and working capital optimization.

Supplier Control

  • Establish close relationship with logistic provider to keep proper flow of information and detailed understanding of their costing process and controls.
  • Ensure adherence to contracted conditions with external providers.
  • Confirm a thorough control process for invoicing process, with reconciliations, checks, evidence and proper cost split/allocation.

Cash Flow & Continuous Improvement

  • Identify and drive cost improvement opportunities, be an active contributor to improvement projects and initiatives, validate, review and track proposed savings. Challenge assumptions for Distribution cost improvements based on internal and external benchmark information on performance.

Internal Controls

  • Ensure clear control and visibility of assets and liabilities, including the development, implementation and compliance with internal controls in all areas such as Bad Goods, Supplier contracts/terms and Finished Goods Stock levels.

Requirements:

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree required in Accounting, Finance or closely related field
  • CPA certification preferred                                                                                          

Experience:

  • 10+ Years of experience required in the Finance and/or Accounting field
  • 2+ years of experience leading and managing a team, strongly preferred
  • Strong people leadership and management, and talent development experience
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Accounting and Financial Reporting knowledge required
  • Proven analytical thinking and ability to see the “big picture”
  • Experience gathering, evaluating, presenting and reporting financial information to executive teams and external stakeholders required
  • Proven ability to quickly learn and drive new concepts and processes
  • Experience working with senior level management, recommendations, influencer, confidence, deliver in layman’s terms
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills  

 

             The approximate pay range for this position is $152,000 to $180,000. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to knowledge, skills and abilities as well as geographic location.
