Position Summary

 

As the Sr. Freight Outbound Coordinator, you will play a vital role in directing and coordinating the outbound freight for Nespresso's Transportation Operation. Working closely with 3PLs, carriers, and teams across the company, you will ensure that service and company goals are met. Your primary responsibilities will involve managing transportation functions at an operational level, as well as conducting reporting and performance analysis.

 

In this dynamic role, you will have the opportunity to collaborate with various stakeholders to optimize freight operations and enhance overall efficiency. Your expertise and coordination skills will be crucial in ensuring that shipments are handled smoothly and delivered on time. By closely monitoring performance and analyzing data, you will contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and drive operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Facilitate effective communication among various stakeholders, including DC/Logistics, BTQ/Retail Operations, B2B Team, and carriers.
  • Monitor, track, and provide timely updates on the progress of shipments to ensure efficiency.
  • Manage pick-up ETA, delivery updates, and requests for proof of delivery (POD).
  • Coordinate with carriers to ensure accurate and timely information exchange.
  • Act as the point of escalation and drive issue resolution for freight and small parcel shipments, such as missed pickups, driver delays, and late deliveries.
  • Identify the root cause when targets are not met and collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement solutions.
  • Arrange FTL/LTL pick-ups for Distribution Center Replenishments and handle miscellaneous freight requests.
  • Manage our Boutique shipment network, ensuring on-time pick-up and delivery.
  • Support 3PLs with transportation-related requests, including pickup and delivery issues, network performance and alignment, and general shipment inquiries.
  • Provide support to the Supply Chain team on ad hoc projects and initiatives.
  • Manage the carrier network, analyzing network performance and identifying trends and opportunities to increase/decrease volume and maximize carrier performance.
  • Identify, suggest, and implement process enhancements to improve efficiency, network performance, operational goals, and customer satisfaction.
  • This will involve collaboration with 3PL's IS/IT team, supply chain, retail, and sales.

 

Experience and Education Qualifications:

 

  • College degree is required, preferably in Supply Chain or equivalent work experience.
  • 1-2 years of professional experience in Supply Chain, Logistics, and dealing with 3rd Party Warehousing is strongly preferred.
  • 1-2 years of experience working with small parcel and freight carriers.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint is required.
  • Advanced Excel skills are necessary.
  • Proficient in ERP, OMS, and TMS systems.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with a strong attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Experience with PowerBI will be highly beneficial.
  • Demonstrates a strong work ethic, integrity, and honesty.
  • Thrives on challenging situations.
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Able to work under time pressure and handle stress.
  • Strong decision-making skills.

The approximate pay range for this position is $65,000.00 to $70,000.00. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to knowledge, skills and abilities as well as geographic location.
