Job Description:
 

The eCommerce Sales Analytics Lead (E-Retail) will drive data-driven decision-making across our eCommerce Retail operations. This role will be responsible for developing and implementing analytics & reporting strategies to optimize sales performance, enhance customer experience, and improve operational efficiency. The eCommerce Sales Analytics Lead will also act as an individual contributor and have a strong ability to collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders, leveraging their expertise in SQL and Python to extract actionable insights from complex datasets. This role will also play a crucial part in shaping the company's data strategy and fostering a culture of data-driven decision-making throughout the organization. This is a hybrid-based role that will work up to 2 days a week onsite at Nespresso’s office in NYC (Manhattan Herald Square District) and the rest remotely from home. Candidates must have experience working with Amazon.com, Walmart.com, Target.com and/or other large E-Retailer platforms. 

Responsibilities: 

E-Retail Analysis, Insights & Recommendations

•    Access key data streams (Amazon Vendor Central, Walmart.com, Target.com, Third Party platforms) to extract relevant data to drive actionable insights using SQL/Python and Excel. 
•    Analyze and provide ad hoc insights as needed to support e-retail commercial activities.
•    Identify and communicate trends that reflect either opportunities or threats to the business.

Digital Commerce Sales Analysis, Insights & Recommendations

•    Analyze nespresso.com & app sales performance, develop actionable insights, and craft recommendations that drive commercial success across B2C and B2B.
•    Partner with Customer Analytics to align insights and performance reporting.
•    Operate as the first point of contact with business teams on sales performance related questions across B2C and B2B owned digital properties.
•    Work closely with the B2  B2B Finance and Control (F&C) team to build short to long-terms ambitions for the channels.

Machine Sales Analytics

•    Lead machine partner analytics alignment (Sell out and sell in guidance) with the Machine Partners Commercial team.
•    Responsible for related forecasts to machine sell-out performance.
•    Lead monthly reviews with key stakeholders covering Category and Channel dynamics, sales results, and the impact of activities (machine launches, distribution changes, campaign performance, etc.).
•    Oversee ad hoc analyses to better understand drivers of performance.

Report & Dashboard Creation

•    Work closely with stakeholders to understand business needs and develop relevant KPIs to monitor.
•    Partner with Customer Analytics and Data Capabilities to develop needed data models/data streams to support reporting.
•    Develop and maintain reports and dashboards on sales performance, pricing, and competitive activity.
•    Work with business stakeholders to democratize access to data and key KPIs.
•    Partner with cross-functional teams to automate dashboards and reports where relevant.

Requirements: 

•    Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics and or in a related field required; Master’s degree preferred. 
•    5+ years of relevant work experience working in Data Analytics utilizing CRM and reporting systems. 
•    2+ years of experience utilizing SQL for analytics. 
•    Demonstrated fluency in MS Excel (Pivot Tables, V-Lookups, Formulas, Charts/Graphs) and also in MS Office Suite (Word/PowerPoint/Outlook) required. 
•    Must have excellent communication (oral and written), organizational, presentation and stakeholder management skills (including the ability to develop and maintain strong, cross-functional stakeholder relationships). 
•    Willing and able to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines with minimal supervision. 
•    Must possess strong analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills and developing creative solutions to business challenges/opportunities. 
•    Must have strong data storytelling skills (including looking at the root causes) and the ability to influence key business decisions via data and recommendations. 
•    Must be agile and have strong time management skills. 
•    1-2+ years of experience utilizing Python and R (or other coding languages) and/or Power BI is highly desired. 
•    Willing and able to travel up to 5% based on the needs of the team and the business. 

The approximate pay range for this position is $135,000 to $148,000. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to knowledge, skills and abilities, as well as geographic location.
