Nespresso have a fantastic opportunity for a Financial Analyst – Cost Management to support the Financial Controlling Team in managing the Finance & Control operations for the Australian market towards the achievement of its business objectives.

 

Located in North Sydney this will be both a challenging and rewarding position. As a Financial Analyst, you will be ensuring the quality, integrity, and reliability of all financial information and reporting.

 

The successful candidate will be involved in but not limited to:

  • Business partnering across various departments to maintain and improve performance through reporting, analysis and process improvements
  • Monitors and controls the business expenditures and investments to make sure the spending is within the budget and according to plan
  • Conduct monthly gap analysis on business performance towards the achievement of objectives
  • Manage cost forecasting and challenging the data input to achieve business commitment and ensure quality forecasting
  • Conduct financial simulation to evaluate any existing and new projects to ensure they deliver a clear ROI and support the department and the company’s big-picture vision
  • Develop and implement methods and tracking systems to increase efficiency, decrease costs and work with the team to create an action plan on any deviations
  • Proactively challenge existing processes and disciplines to find better, faster and more accurate ways of supporting customer needs

Ideally, we are seeking candidates with more than 5 years of cumulative Accounting or Finance experience, at least 2 of which is as a Cost Analyst. You will need to have an Accounting Degree or Equivalent with CPA/CA qualification desirable. This role will require you to have both very strong verbal and written communication skills, and proven experience in cost accounting and continuous improvement methodologies. You will be a team player and have good technical and analytical, forecasting and reporting skills, and strong attention to detail.

 

Advanced financial modelling techniques complemented with an expert competency in Excel is preferable.
