What to Expect:

We are looking for a Corporate Quality Specialist for Nestlé based at our North York location. Reporting directly to the Director, Quality Management, you will support the implementation and verification of food safety management systems while driving quality excellence across Nestlé Canada. You will work closely with manufacturing sites, regulatory bodies, and cross-functional stakeholders to support consumer complaint management, drive continuous improvement initiatives, and ensure compliance with quality, food safety, and regulatory requirements. This role offers broad exposure across the business and the opportunity to influence both consumer experience and operational quality performance. This position is an existing vacancy.

A day in the life:

 

  • Manage consumer complaint investigations and coordinate responses to consumer alerts and adverse events, working closely with factories and cross-functional partners to ensure timely resolution.
  • Lead monthly consumer complaint review meetings, identifying trends and opportunities to reduce consumer dissatisfaction and drive continuous improvement.
  • Prepare consumer complaint reports and quality performance metrics, including monthly KPI reporting for leadership teams.
  • Coordinate release activities for Infant Nutrition, Nestlé Health Science, and Natural Health Product portfolios to support business continuity and compliance requirements.
  • Partner with factories to investigate product concerns and develop consumer-facing responses for Consumer Engagement Services, CFIA, and Health Canada inquiries.
  • Manage the document control process through Intelex, ensuring Standard Operating Procedures remain current and compliant.
  • Coordinate Safe Food for Canadians requirements by maintaining regulatory documentation and supporting compliance across manufacturing sites, co-manufacturers, and imported products.
  • Lead and maintain the Quality Management intranet page and support digital initiatives that improve efficiency, knowledge sharing, and collaboration.
  • Monitor consumer complaint trends and work with business partners to identify opportunities for quality improvement and risk mitigation.


Role Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Nutrition, Microbiology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a related scientific discipline.
  • Minimum of 3 years of factory quality experience, preferably within the food or a related industry.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety management systems, regulatory requirements, and quality standards.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead initiatives, manage change, implement process improvements, and collaborate across factory and head-office teams.

Compensation Range: CAD 58,000 – CAD 60,000+ bonus eligibility
