Position Summary

 

We are looking for a Finance Insights Manager based at our North York office reporting into the VP, Corporate Controller.  This role is responsible for leading the business planning and financial analysis function for the Nutrition with future potential of exposure to other businesses within the Canadian marketplace.  This role works closely with Marketing, Sales, Supply Chain, Finance Analytics & Solutions Team, and Corporate Finance to support the team in improving the financial performance of the categories as well as help deliver against their plans.

A day in the life of a Finance Insights Manager

 

  • Management of the P&L and the planning & review process for the entire Confectionery Business. This includes completion of the Annual Business Plan, Dynamic Forecast, Monthly Business Review Process, the MBS/Long term planning, Quarterly Business Planning, Profit Outlook and review of actual results.
  • Provide financial leadership in reporting and analyzing relevant trends, highlighting variances and making sound business recommendation to Canadian and International stakeholders.
  • Conduct value-added feasibility studies to evaluate (NPV, ROI,  MC analysis) potential financial benefits/risks of ongoing and future business initiatives; including new product launches, product and contract pricing, marketing expenditure, retail sales promotions, product renovations and other opportunities.
  • Continually evaluate and challenge financial processes and reporting practices; implement changes as needed
  • Provide special project analysis as requested
  • Responsible for the accuracy and integrity of financial information and upholding corporate policies and control of assets within areas of responsibility.
  • Drive continues improvement with financial impact towards profit enhancement working closely with SRM and cross functional stakeholders.

 

What will make you successful

 

  • Within a range of five to eight years of financial planning experience in different roles (i.e. Corporate Planning, Sales Finance, Operations Finance, Category Finance).
  • Recognized accounting designation and/or related business degree.
  • Strong knowledge of factory standard costing.
  • Excellent BI tools, database, and spreadsheet skills with the ability to enhance the financial planning process.
  • Strong communication skills. This will include presenting financial information to non-financial users and global business leaders (locally and internationally)
