Position Summary
This role is dedicated to the Out of Home (OOH) channel, focusing on achieving sales and profit objectives by retaining and growing current customers while acquiring new ones. The position emphasizes leveraging strategic relationships to drive growth in key chains and distributor partners, with responsibilities including leading, managing, and training distributor professionals to meet Nestlé Waters and Premium Beverages (NWPB) sales and distribution goals. Success in this role is achieved through strong collaboration with internal departments and the development of relationships with key stakeholders and sales personnel. This is a brand newe role.
A day in the life of a Key Account Manager
• Lead the strategic relationship and strategy development with the distributor network, identifying opportunities that align with the NWPB Market Business Strategy, and develop and execute plans
• Manage product listings, programming, transitions, and discontinuations with distributor merchandising and sales teams, while leading negotiation strategies for key regional and national accounts
• Build and sustain relationships with key decision-makers, ensuring accountability for contract negotiations and RFP management, and participate in the Monthly Business Planning cycle to analyze and address issues to achieve NWPB’s sales and distribution goals
• Collaborate effectively with internal teams, including CSD, Customer Service, National Accounts, Marketing, and Finance, to support customer needs and new account openings, while maintaining data integrity in the CRM tool
• Manage commercial spend to achieve sales volume, trade spend, and profit goals, and provide sales support and training for distributor teams and internal stakeholders
What will make you successful?
• Minimum of 6 years in a progressive sales role, including 2 years in Account Management, with a focus on Food service and Food service Distributors; Experience in the beverages industry is an asset
• Strong understanding of the beverage, non-alcoholic, and/or bottled water categories is an asset
• In-depth knowledge of Out of Home sub-channels (QSR, Restaurants, Bars, Lodging, Chain Establishments), RTM and their operational impact on business performance
• Experience working with MS Office: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Post-secondary education in Business Administration or a related field
• Effective communication, negotiation, and leadership skills for presenting analytics to stakeholders
• Ability to build relationships with influential customers and teams across multiple channels. Entrepreneurial mindset in a context of strong acceleration
• Financial acumen and understanding of customer contributions and margin calculations
• Proven ability to manage multiple tasks with excellent time and project management skills
