What to Expect:  

  

This is a contract role that that is primarily focused on category strategy creation, vendor contract negotiation, across all indirect procurement spend.  

The candidate will work with Nestlé-in-Market (NiM) stakeholders to translate business requirements to commercial agreement strategy and execute with agility and speed. 

The Local Sourcing Manager is responsible for developing, validating, communicating and implementing sourcing strategies for locally managed categories (at NiM level) following the Strategic Sourcing Process tools, templates and policies developed by Global Procurement, and applying the Nestlé Standardized Procurement Mode 

  

Role Requirements: 

  

  • Strategic negotiation, and lifecycle management of a large number of procurement contracts under their scope.  They will define and implement commercial strategies to ensure the best business outcomes using Strategic Sourcing Process’ tools, templates and policies developed by Global Procurement. 

  • Perform supplier market analysis, category analysis, and supply risk analysis, and develop Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) understanding, as well as the map of how sourcing process and channels work within the locally managed category (at NiM level) and identify improvements to be targeted. 

  • Prepare and execute negotiation events seeking best TCO contracts and beneficial commercial agreements with suppliers for the locally managed categories (at NiM level) 

  • Promote and ensure Compliance to Nestlé's Corporate Business Principles, policies, standards and Procurement Policy, Procurement Standardized Model, Nestlé Supplier Code, Best Practices, etc. 

  • Establish relationships with stakeholders to integrate category plans and outcomes in local budgets and price planning processes as required 

  • Integrate innovation, renovation and post award cost improvement elements from suppliers into Nestlé's innovation and renovation processes. 

  • In partnership with Supplier Relationship Management experts, lead the planning and regular contract Service Level Agreement reviews with suppliers and other functional partners such as Quality 

 

Preferred Skills:  

  

  • Strong negotiation skills and history of successful end-to-end negotiation and writing of commercial contracts with high-value/high-leverage partners 

  • Breadth and depth of knowledge of procurement categories including all Services & Indirect materials 

  • High fluency in legal contracts, risk management and external regulatory standards relevant to Food CPG 

  • General fluency in financial accounting standards and deep understanding of business P&L 

  • Demonstrated experience in in delivering competitive advantage to the business through development and implementation of effective local sourcing strategies for the spend category in charge over a sustained period (3-5 years)  

  • Has experience in different spend categories as Sourcing Manager and has demonstrated robust knowledge and skill in the use of the Strategic Sourcing Process 

  • Demonstrated leadership skills in delivering successful implementation of sourcing strategies, risk management, responsible sourcing and supplier relation management process 

  • Project Management experience and fluency in project management tools and processes (Critical Path, GANTT, etc.)

Compensation Range: $100,000 - $110,000 Annual
