What to Expect:
The Manager, Demand Planning is responsible for developing accurate demand forecasts to support business objectives, optimize inventory, and ensure supply chain efficiency.
This individual collaborates with Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Supply Chain teams to incorporate key insights into the forecasting process.
This individual’s functional responsibilities will encompass an assigned portfolio to develop (using data & statistical models) on a monthly level an accurate statistical forecast and on a daily/weekly basis an accurate demand sensing forecast. This will involve consistent evaluation of performance of both the statistical forecast and demand sensing and is actively seeking opportunities for enhancements, in additional to collecting all the inputs to create the different demand scenarios that will be evaluated during the Scenario Planning & Sign-off meeting. The Manager, Demand Planning is the owner of the signed-off demand plan (volumetric demand plan) for said assigned category/portfolio.
A day in the life of a Manager, Demand Planning:

is to analyze demand trends, improving forecast accuracy, supporting the S&OP process, and driving continuous improvements in planning methodologies.
-
will take on mid-large strategic projects such as portfolio assessments/ optimization, process improvements, or represent broader demand planning team on key business initiatives/category events with assigned category (e.g.: seasonal planning, AVC co-ordination, Exception processes etc.), and assigned key reporting identified by the Demand Planning or key leads within the Integrated planning LT team.

Will also support the Lead, Demand Planning on addressing hyper care and key reporting/analytics across all business portfolios. This role will also be an active member of the Integrated Planning Subject Matter Expert (SME) community within the Nestle in Market DSP team.
What will make you successful:

Develop and maintain demand forecasts using historical data, market trends, and statistical models.

Analyze forecast accuracy (DPA, MAPE, Bias) and implement improvements to enhance predictability.

Utilize demand planning software (OMP, SAS VIVA etc.) for data-driven decision-making.

Release / publish the signed-off demand plan (volumetric demand plan) in OMP
-
Monitor standard key performance indicators across the different categories within the market for demand planning (e.g., forecast accuracy, bias, etc.).

Communicate on time assumptions, risks & opportunities to Concurrent Planner & Sales/Marketing, underlying forecast drivers and trend insights in which to action.

Review monthly demand performance metrics across the categories and engage with relevant stakeholders to define an improvement action plan (if needed), including collecting all the inputs to create the different demand scenarios that will be evaluated during the Scenario Planning & Sign-off meeting.

Collaborate & support the demand planning scenarios creation as part of the commercial review process. (ICP etc.).

Ensure consistent improvement the quality of the Demand Plans and the efficiency with which they are produced based on category -specific demand patterns, portfolio/product considerations, and commercialization.

Contribute to the Nestlé Competitive Planning solution (focusing on a specific category) by active and constructive participation in the Integrated Commercial Planning (ICP), Monthly Business Planning (MBP), Dynamic Forecast (DF) processes & Annual Volume Commitment process.

Actively Led Identified Mid-Long Strategic Projects, initiatives, and Planning calendar milestones, as required within the category’s teams

Strong analytical skills, cross-functional collaboration, and proficiency in demand planning tools are essential for success in this role.
Preferred Skills:
-
Completion of bachelor’s degree in supply chain, Management, Mathematics, Engineering, Business or Economics
-
Experience: 8+ years in demand planning, forecasting, or supply chain management.

Experience in data analysis & reporting using tools like Power BI, Tableau, or similar
-
Understands local market, category, complexity & key stakeholders
-
Proven track record of experience, results and optimization of Demand Planning/Statistical Forecasting management
-
Strong exposure of Demand Planning Principles, Process and Best Practices; Tradition, and Digital forecasting enhanced strategies.

Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make strategic decisions
-
Proficiency in using relevant planning software and tools.

Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to collaborate and influence effectively across departments
