Position Summary

We are looking for a Marketing Manager, Alternate Channels & New Business Development, Ice Cream based at our North York location reporting into the Marketing Leader, Ice Cream. This role will lead the strategic roadmap for the inclusion of our brand portfolio in key channels and identify new business development opportunities for consumer to access and experience our Ice Cream brands. This is a fantastic opportunity to plan, develop and execute marketing plans to continue the growth of the Ice Cream portfolio.  

A day in the life of...

As a Marketing Manager, Ice Cream you will be working with our exciting portfolio of brands. This role is a fantastic opportunity to lead & create opportunities for brands to drive growth to the category.  You will be working daily with cross-functional teams to make your plans come to life with lots of autonomy and support to really thrive.

 

You will also:
•    Lead and support the development of aligned Marketing strategy and plans to support the growth of the Ice Cream brands in alternate channels and identify new opportunities for consumers to experience and engage with our Ice Cream brands in Canada in line with Global strategy.
•    Leverage key consumer/customers insights to develop strategies that build competitive advantage across the 4Ps (Product, Price, Place, Promotion) across multiple segments and channels.
•    Build Brands through translation of insights to action. Responsible for creating compelling marketing plans to leverage the Ice Cream brands in key alternate channels i.e. convenience, out of home, strategic partnerships, direct to consumer and define effective go to market strategies, through leading digital initiatives and leveraging new technology.
•    Execute solid launch plans to successfully bring new products to the alternate channels or identify business new opportunities including defining and implementing the evolution of the experiential and direct to consumer.
•    Lead the Cross functional teams on key projects with strong interaction with Sales, Category, Distribution and Finance teams.  
•    Accountable for improving the Return of Investment year over year and spend accuracy.

As the successful candidate, you will be the champion for the brand throughout the organisation so you will need to be passionate, tenacious, results focused and really enjoy working in a highly energetic and exciting environment. You will already have great project management and analytical skills coupled with your highly organised, conscientious approach. Pro-activity, tenacity and enthusiasm are essential, as is your ability to understand and work within our competitive market.  Your already developed marketing experience as a Marketing Assistant or Assistant Brand Manager will give you the experience you need to drive this great brand forward. You will also:

 

•    University degree in Business or Marketing, and or equivalent combination of education and experience.
•    3-5 years of successful brand/product management experience, including leading agency teams.
•    Visionary, decisive and analytical nature with the ability to drive business results at the strategic and executional levels.
•    Innovative thinker with experience using design thinking.
•    Agile and able to pivot in a fast paced ever changing environment, comfortable taking calculated risks and doing things differently to carve a new way forward.
•    Be passionate to build and grow brands, with ‘can-do’ attitude and a willingness to challenge the status quo
