Job title:  Category and Shopper Development Activation Manager (1-year contract)
Location: North York, ON

Position Summary

We are looking for a Category and Shopper Development Activation Manager (1-year contract) based at our North York reporting into the Director, CSD.  The individual in this role will oversee the development of Sales Playbooks and ICP planning timelines for the Imported Premium Waters Business. This role is responsible for activating the Category Strategy via retail executions and owns the Retail Presence and Merchandising Strategy for the Category to drive conversion.

A day in the life of...

  • Drive insight-based Retail Presence and Merchandising strategies to support divisional and category objectives and annual ICP plans.
  • Lead strategy and development of customer specific AVA and Merchandising solutions for key accounts as part of an overall OMNI strategy
  • Support development of Sales Playbook (components for Category to include selling presentations) and new item launches, manages all updates to playbook
  • Manage critical path for major category initiatives such as product launches and promotions that are presented to Sales, Roadshow and ICP.  Facilitate roadshow and Retail Sales meetings for the Category
  • Manage and optimize ROI on AVA and POS budget while driving innovation and market leadership on retail, shopper engagement and merchandising activation solutions and programs
  • Work with customer teams and marketing on opportunities to drive in-store engagement / communication of priority brands in-store (demos, signage, activation, consumer promotions, etc…)
  • Ensure adherence to all Company principles and policies
     

What will make you successful

  • A university degree in a business-related discipline 
  • 3-5 years of related experience in shopper marketing, account management or category management
  • Very strong project management skills with the ability to multi-task
  • Detail-oriented with highly developed analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Results-orientated and self-starter with a can-do attitude
  • Strong analytical skills for data-based strategies and post-mortem analysis
  • Highly motivated and able to work independently
  • Works well in a team environment
  • Experience in planning and executing premium brands is an asset 
  • Working Knowledge of AC Nielsen Workstation Plus is essential and Customer Loyalty Data, Shopper Data is a strong asset
  • Extremely Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
