Position Summary

We are looking for a Marketing Manager, Innovation Acceleration for Everyday Confectionery based at our North York Office reporting into the Marketing Leader, Everyday Confectionery. In this role, you will contribute to the assessment of new business segments and manage the commercialization of exciting launches within the business unit portfolio. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain a deep understanding of our well-loved confectionery brands such as Kit Kat, Aero, Coffee Crisps and Smarties, and help seed innovative growth platforms in line with the latest snacking trends.

A day in the life of...

As Marketing Manager Innovation Acceleration, you will be working on projects for brands across the portfolio and more. This role is a great opportunity to build recommendations on new platforms, commercialize newly approved launched and provide an overall support to the teams to help strengthen their pipelines. You will be working daily with cross-functional teams with lots of autonomy and support to really thrive.

 

You will also:


•    Execute Innovation and Renovation (I&R) projects (with high to medium complexity) to maximize the value of our brands, ensure long-term sustainable margin enhanced growth, sales, profit, and market share.
•    Responsible for leading the cross-functional team and collaborating with Global and Regional colleagues and external partners to move projects from Idea to Launch.
•    Lead and improve the I&R process to drive stronger prioritization and alignment across different stakeholders.
•    Responsible for identifying, scoping and validating I&R opportunities and securing alignment from the Confectionery Leadership Team and other key stakeholders
•    Develop deep consumer & shopper knowledge in partnership with the brand Marketing Managers and Consumer Insights Manager and share it effectively with relevant cross functional stakeholders.
•    Support innovation excellence, including the design and implementation of evolved capabilities, competencies, processes, organization and cross-functional talent involved in the Innovation process, from ideation to commercialization.

What will make you successful

As the successful candidate you will be a creative thinker who can balance strategic thinking and executional impact with excellent planning, communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.  You will already have great project management and analytical skills coupled with your highly organised, conscientious approach. Pro-activity, tenacity and enthusiasm are essential, as will be your ability to understand and work within our competitive market. You will also :


•    University degree in Business or Marketing, and or equivalent combination of education and experience.
•    A minimum of 5 years of marketing experience required. CPG experience is strongly preferred. Experience in launching new categories or leading new businesses is a plus.
•    Understanding of commercialization process within CPG with ability to leverage Nestlé processes, resources and environment.
•    Strong strategy development, creative problem solving and insight skills.
•    Self-motivated, results focused with an entrepreneurial spirit.
•    Strong financial acumen and demonstrated P&L management
•    Passionate to build and grow brands, with ‘can-do’ attitude and a willingness to challenge status quo.
•    Must be able to manage change and evolve in a fast-paced dynamic and matrix environment.
•    Proficient computer literacy: MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and other MS applications.
