Position Summary

We are looking for an Assistant Boutique Manager for our KITKAT Chocolatory store reporting into the Boutique Manage, KITKAT Chocolatory. This person in this role will be the driver of the fun, unique and personalized experience that is KITKAT Chocolatory store in Yorkdale Mall. You will be responsible to drive sales on the floor and act as the lead ambassador of the brand while ensuring that the sales team does the same.

A day in the life of...

As an Assistant Boutique Manager you will guarantee the smooth daily running of the boutique and ensure that the store maintains the highest level of customer experience – from the atmosphere of the store to every interaction with the sales team.

 

Your skillsets will be used in the following 3 areas:

 

Boutique Set-up and Customer Care
•    Ensure the Boutique is clean, well-ordered, and attractive to customers.
•    Ensure that Boutique runs smoothly from a customer experience perspective, including creating a welcoming and delightful atmosphere at the store (pro-active reception greetings, communications and managing customer expectations and complaints appropriately).
•    Constantly evaluating customer excellence and provide the right guidance and improvement advice.

 

Staff Management
•    Oversee the store sales team including supervising employees, delegating tasks.
•    Staff development responsibility including training, onboarding, and talent development.
•    Evaluating employee performance, managing staff problems, and designing work schedules.
•    Ensure safe working conditions and staff adheres to company policies.

 

Operations Management 
•    Sales reporting to management team
•    Manage daily inventory
•    Transmit necessary information to other departments to ensure the smooth running of the Boutique (security, cleanliness of premises, maintenance)
•    Ensure accurate reporting; and ensure IT issues are reported in due time
•    Monitor of any out-of-stock situation and work closely with the Kitchen Manager to ensure production plan aligns with sales forecast
 

What will make you successful

As the successful candidate, you will be the able to build strong teams through your leadership capabilities and developed interpersonal skills. You will have agility to respond to a dynamic environment and multitask. Pro-activity, tenacity and enthusiasm are essential, as is your ability to understand and work within our competitive market.  You will also have:

 

•    Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role 
•    Availability to work a flexible schedule (minimum 1 weekend day per week and some evenings)
•    3-4 years of direct customer sales on luxury/premium products & services
•    Strong sales skills
•    Attention to detail
