Location: North York
Position Summary
We are looking for a Lean and Continuous Improvement Intern based at our North York location from June to September 2022. This role will have the responsibility to work directly with the Lean/NCE team and other cross functional stakeholders to develop and organize capability building resource material, along with assisting in specific Lean projects enterprise wide.
A day in the life of...
As a lean intern, you will be involved in the creation and maintenance of a central knowledge centre for the purposes of training and capability building, creation and execution of specific communication strategies, and supporting various lean projects. You will work specifically in the Lean/NCE corporate team and will interact with various cross functional stakeholders as needed.
You will also:
• Translate Microsoft office based training material to on-line and interactive content.
• Creation of a centralized library/resource centre for Lean tools and content
• Support and assist virtual training/capability building events
• Assist in specific lean projects that include basic problem solving, lean office mapping, and creation of standards

• Currently enrolled in a university or post-graduate program in operations or communications.

• Team player with demonstrated ability to work effectively across all functions and levels.
• Fast learner, and must be comfortable working within a dynamic, challenging environment.
• Results and detail-oriented professional with strong analytical and problem solving skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft office applications is required.
