Position Summary 
We are looking for a Quality Assurance Intern based at our North York Head Office for the months of May to August 2024. This role is a great opportunity to work on Quality activities for all Nestle Categories of products.  You will be working daily with quality management professional and some cross-functional teams’ members to strengthen quality process to ensure compliance to Nestle Standards, CFIA and Health Canada regulations. The posting term is for 3 months with the possibility of extending to 8 months depending on performance and project delivery. 

 

As a Quality Assurance Intern, you will be responsible for driving & sustaining successful change management through identifying opportunities to optimize product specification and quality release process while also developing the capabilities of the department colleagues and 3rd parties in Lean tools, processes, and thinking.

The key activities include the following:
-    Implementation of Quality Tools.
-    Evaluation of Power BI data.
-    Follow up of action plan and planned activities.
-    Training to 3rd parties on the available Digital Tools with proper coaching.
-    Support the VMHS team with daily activities as well as some specific tasks (i.e. update of bulk specifications, update list of disqualified products, etc.).
-    Upload and evaluation of documentation to ensure flawless product release execution.
-    Follow up of closure of consumer complaints investigation.

As the successful candidate, you will be the champion for the brand throughout the organisation so you will need to be passionate, tenacious, results focused and really enjoy working in a highly energetic and exciting environment.

You will also:
•    3rd or 4th year undergraduate student pursuing degree in Pharmacy & Biochemistry, Food & Nutrition, Food Science, Chemistry and Engineering (Food, Industrial, Chemical).
•    Maintaining a GPA of a minimum 3.0 and above is considered an asset. 
•    Have strong communication, analytical, organizational, and interpersonal skills. 
•    Has knowledge about LEAN and TPM principles.
•    Self-motivated, proactive, results focused, agile, innovative, and intellectually curious. 
•    Fast learner, and must be comfortable working within a dynamic, challenging environment. 
•    Strong computer proficiency (PowerPoint, Word, Excel).
