Position Summary 
We are looking for a Regulatory and Scientific Affairs Intern based at our North York location for the months of May to August 2025. This role at Nestlé Health Science will provide support to the Natural Health Products platforms on various regulatory and compliance projects. Responsibilities include assisting with government submissions, product registrations, conducting claims assessments, and contributing to the development of new digital tools. This internship offers valuable experience in the field, allowing interns to gain practical knowledge and skills in regulatory affairs while working closely with experienced professionals.

 

A day in the life of a Regulatory and Scientific Affairs Intern
As a Regulatory and Scientific Affairs Intern, your responsibilities will include working on compliance for both external regulations and internal Nestle policies and standards, conducting claims assessments to ensure compliance with regulations and Nestle internal claims standards, and reviewing communication and advertising materials for compliance.

You will also be:

  • Assisting with local Innovation and Renovation (I&R) projects to support Canadian market launches.
  • Assisting the RSA team to ensure compliance of finished products, labels and product related communication and registrations. 
  • Assisting in various projects within the RSA group and related functions.

As the successful candidate, you will need to be passionate, tenacious, results focused and really enjoy working in a highly energetic and exciting environment.

 

You will also:

  • Currently enrolled in a gradudate or undergraduate program in science, or relevant field such as pharmacy, nutrition, herbal medicine, or a related discipline is preferred.
  • Strong interest in natural health products and a desire to learn more about the industry.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements for natural health products is preferred. 
  • Experience in regulatory affairs or the food and beverage industry is preferred.  
  • Familiarity with the Food and Drugs Act and Food and Drugs Regulatory is preferred. 
  • Strong understanding of at least one of the regulatory related topics such as food safety, consumer information, nutrition & health, additives, or quality.  
  • Exceptional organizational & efficiency skills – ability to organize work, multi-task, create detailed plans, monitor progress, follow-up and meet deadlines.
  • Demonstrates initiative and is proactive; ability to work independently, anticipate needs and be forward-thinking. Assertive with the ability to adapt to change.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills, including Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
