Position Summary

 

We are looking for a Sales Senior Financial Analyst based at our North York office reporting into the Nestle Professional Sales Finance Co-Pilot. This position provides analytical and business decision support to the Sales Finance team, National and Key Account Managers for the Foodservices or Out of Home business. This position is an existing vacancy.

 

A day in the life of a Senior Financial Analyst:

 

  • Provide insight and analysis on Sales (GPS), Trade Spend (TTS) and Customer Contribution Statements (CCS) by leveraging PowerBI dashboards, Sales and Trade Planning systems and other data
  • Monitor and present relevant KPI’s to sales teams towards target achievement
  • Review Trade accruals in the context of Contract Pricing and Promotion guidelines, Accounting Standards, and Nestle Terms and Conditions
  • Provide decision support to sales teams on new opportunities via Plug and Play (PnP) assessment
  • Analyse the impact of customer-specific activity on a quarterly basis and Limited Time Opportunities (LTO) to provide guidance to National or Key Account Managers (KAM) on incremental profitable growth.  Support LTO Pre / Post Analysis process or annual business reviews
  • Identify risks and opportunities in sales and trade spend plans towards target achievement
  • Provide regular support and guidance to Trade Analysts including customer post audits, deductions and payments
  • Provide regular support to Customer Service regarding pricing discrepancies, and work with Shared Services teams on resolution of Order to Cash topics. 
  • Support Sales Finance Co-Pilot in month-end activities involving TTS entries impacting Net Sales (NNS)

 

What will make you successful?

 

  • Completion of University Degree in Finance, Business Administration or similar.
  • Working towards a designation is highly valued (CPA, CFA, MBA).
  • 3 to 4 years’ experience as a Financial Analyst or comparable role.
  • Excellent Excel, PowerBI skills, with an interest in RPA, Machine Learning, AI tools. TPM systems is an asset.
  • Strong communication skills with business acumen including presentation of financial information to non-financial users
  • A self-starter, willingness to learn with strong analytical skills, the ability to prioritize workflow and operate independently in a demanding, fast-paced environment
  • Strong relationship builder with the ability to manage through influence and collaboration
