A day in the life What to Expect:
The Senior Analyst of Category Leadership will focus on generating actionable insights to foster long-term category growth through targeted initiatives. This role involves supporting customer and portfolio segmentation, understanding category growth drivers, and developing performance metrics for Shopper Marketing initiatives aligned with key KPIs. Additionally, the analyst will enhance capabilities within commercial teams by providing data-driven insights that improve engagement strategies for consumers, shoppers, and customers.

 

What to Expect: 
Drive Category Growth:

  • Completes analysis and provides insight to support customer & portfolio segmentation 
  • Understands and summarizes shopper and customer environment to support category growth narratives 
  • Supports team on key projects with analysis to unlock category growth aligned to drivers
  • Works proactively and collaboratively with commercial Analyst teams on growth pool projects

 

Embedding and Leading Change/Build Capability:

  • Develops and shares scorecards, insights and headlines related to category leadership projects to assess scalability, ROI, course correction
  • Provides training to team and core stakeholders behind new data sources, tools, processes relevant to Category Leadership
  • Improves efficiency and access to insights by recommending further automation of tools, working closely with digital team on future enhancements.  
  • Sources/provides packaged solutions for category opportunities that leverage core fundamentals.
  • e-Commerce Analytics support: Shipment & POS Results by Customer/Category, and Data Partner SPOC (Stackline, Amazon Vendor, LDIA, Key Customers)

 

Role Requirements

  • Minimum 3 - 5 years combined sales and analytical experience, with a minimum of 2 years in an analytical role while demonstrating the ability to participate and collaborate across commercial teams.  
  • Must be proficient with AC Neilsen Workstation Plus.  Shopper Data experience is an asset.
  • Additional expertise in the retail landscape and CPG experience are key assets.  
  • Proven problem-solving skills with the ability to glean insights and develop recommendations.  
  • You should be a proactive self-starter with a keen eye for detail, and demonstrate excellent interpersonal, communication, project management, and organizational skills.
  • Must be able to manage several complex priorities with strict deadlines and attention to detail.  
  • Completed University Degree ideally in Business Administration with a focus on sales, marketing, or finance.
