Position Summary
We are looking for a Specialist, Product Ownership – Citizen Development to lead and scale Nestlé Canada’s growing Citizen Development community. This role is a catalyst for digital transformation, empowering employees across the business to reimagine how work gets done through the Microsoft Power Platform and Responsible AI. Note: this is an existing vacancy.
A day in the life of a Specialist Product Ownership Citizen Development:
In this highly influential role, you will serve as strategist, coach, and community leader—enabling safe, scalable low code/no code development while promoting a movement of digitally confident creators. You’ll design training, build reusable assets, uphold governance guardrails, and partner with cross functional teams to drive innovation responsibly. This is a unique opportunity to shape transformation at scale while uplifting digital skills across an entire market.
Community & Enablement Leadership
• Lead, grow, and energize a thriving community of 300+ citizen developers.
• Build tailored learning paths, modular assets, and composable resources for diverse functions.
• Host recurring community events, live trainings, showcases, and office hours.
• Provide 1:1 coaching and solution building guidance to ensure best practice development.
• Produce internal success stories and storytelling assets that inspire widespread adoption.
Governance & Compliance
• Embed ASLC, governance, security, and compliance requirements into all enablement work.
• Align with environment strategy, DLP/connectors policies, and documentation standards.
• Partner with platform admins, governance teams, and compliance to review solutions.
• Support solution intake, triage, and escalation processes.
Practice Resources & Responsible AI
• Create and curate reusable templates, prompts, Copilot resources, accelerators, and data models.
• Champion Responsible AI principles across patterns, training, and solution reviews.
• Establish starter kits and accelerators that speed development while maintaining safety.
Data, Metrics & Value Realization
• Maintain data foundations aligned to the Technology Enablement Data Maturity Index.
• Track adoption, maturity, participation, pipeline, and compliance health.
• Produce impact stories, ROI summaries, and value measurement reporting.
Change Leadership & Transformation
• Design change management plans, readiness assessments, and adoption strategies.
• Lead newsletters, communication campaigns, and internal marketing initiatives.
• Inspire mindset shifts through demos, storytelling, and “art of the possible” experiences.
What will make you successful?
• 3–5+ years of experience driving digital enablement, skill building, or transformation programs.
• Proven experience designing and delivering high impact training for non technical users.
• Strong hands on capabilities in Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, SharePoint, Dataverse.
• Familiarity with platform governance: environments, DLP, connectors, secure data practices.
• Experience building reusable assets, templates, and accelerators.
• Experience coaching creators through office hours and solution reviews.
• Microsoft Power Platform Fundamentals certification (or equivalent) is an asset.
• Exposure to Responsible AI, prompt engineering, and Copilot for Microsoft 365.
Preferred Skills
• Exceptional storytelling and communication—able to simplify complex concepts.
• Skilled facilitator comfortable engaging senior leaders and influencing decisions.
• Strong coaching, mentoring, and relationship building abilities.
• High emotional intelligence and empathy to support teams through change.
