The Nestlé R&D Center located in the Loire Valley in Tours (France), is part of the Nestlé Institute of Agricultural Sciences within the Nestlé Research Organization whose main center is in Lausanne, Switzerland. Nestlé Research combines fundamental science at the highest level, high-end analytical platforms leveraged by all research teams, and strong capabilities to accelerate the translation of science into innovation. The Plant Science team builds knowledge on strategic crops with the aim of developing new plant materials to deliver quality products through better and sustainable farming.

 

Position snapshot:

  • Permanent position
  • Location: Notre Dame d'Oe, Tours, Centre-Val de Loire (37)
  • Holder of a superior studies degree (Bachelor Degree) 
  • Experience in Finance (min. 3 years)

Position summary:

At Nestlé in France, our employees and company performance is measured by the concrete and positive contributions of everyone on its environment.

As a Finance and support adminitrative, effectively coordinate procurement activities, ensure compliance with purchasing guideline and audit rules, handle import-export processes, and assist the Finance Controller by conducting monthly closing activities, budget checks and administration of fixed assets in respect of Nestle Account Standards, fiscal and audit rules. Manage local contracts for site activities in coordination with the Finance controller.

 

A day in the life of a finance and support administration:

 

Procurement

Manage all the procurement activities on site (create and follow purchase requisitions, purchase orders, tracking invoice disputes)

Manage vendor activities (local contracts negotiation, vendor creation, change, compliance, evaluation)                                         

Ensure compliance of purchasing                                          

Coordinate & manage purchase requesters (meeting & support)     

                                         

Logistics:

Import-Export (Management of requests and blockages, phytosanitary file, inspection...)

                                        

Finance & Control:

Monthly budget checks (check, control and analyze accounting postings - transactional tasks linked to budget like accruals, corrections, etc.…)                       

Fixed assets administration (activation, retirement, follow up, inventory, scrap request etc.)          

                           

Management services:

Manage local site contracts (cleaning, security, laundry etc..), validation of Pcard

                                    

Compliance:

Apply and respect guidelines edited at group levels in term of compliance for local, Nestle Account Standards and audit rules                                                                         

 

What will make you successful:

 

Required Qualifications:

  • Experience in working in an operational unit
  • Expert in Finance & Cost controlling
  • Project management skills

 

Languages:

  • Fluent in French & English

 

Specific requirements:

  • Good knowledge in SAP (Finance/Control)
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Expert level in Microsoft Excel

 

Other competencies:

  • Ability to work independently with initiative
  • Strong organizational & planning skills
