The Nestlé R&D Center located in the Loire Valley in Tours (France), is part of the Nestlé Institute of Agricultural Sciences within the Nestlé Research Organization whose main center is in Lausanne, Switzerland. Nestlé Research combines fundamental science at the highest level, high-end analytical platforms leveraged by all research teams, and strong capabilities to accelerate the translation of science into innovation. The Plant Science team builds knowledge on strategic crops with the aim of developing new plant materials to deliver quality products through better and sustainable farming.

Position Summary 

 

HRBP is responsible for all Human Resources and People Engagment operational activities on site.  Support Senior HRBP NIAS and lead across all sites people engagement initiatives (NR, NIAS, R&D) to ensure we attract, engage and retain NIAS Talents (Lausanne, Tours, Zambakro, Singpaore, Mexico). Applies highest standards to ensure and facilitate implementation of Nestlé Research, NIAS and Nestlé France HR initiatives, processes and to support resources. Anticipate future needs and build the adequate people planaccording to the global strategy. Works hand in hand with Department Plant Science to anticipate future needs and build the adequate people planaccording to the global strategy. Provides services to support efficient functionning of the Department of Plant Science with transparent and proper reporting into NR functions. Acts as local point of contact for Nestlé community and external stakeholders.

 

 

A day in the life of a

 

HR : Anticipate and adapt resources to business activities and priorities (FTE management) through robust People Plan process and People Costs management.  Identify and develop talents and competencies including coaching and advising people. Act as a partner and advisor. Lead local people agenda in partnership with people managers and in good coordination with Nestlé research. Ensuring compliance to Nestlé HR processes (Recruitment process, Performance Management, Talent cycle, Total Rewards management...). Lead organisation of regular staff meetings to engage people.       

         
Legal :
Lead and manage all legal aspects in NIAS Tours including negotiations. Ensure a smooth partnership and communication with Staff representives and Unions, work inspector, labour doctor and employees at all levels of the organization. 

              
Standard / processes :
Ensure Nestlé policies and French/European regulations are well understood and drive for full compliance and/or continual improvement by those responsible & employees. Follow up of standard operations and protocoles.   


Change management : Act as a catalyst/supporter of change where appropriate. Pro-actively challenge the established organisational structure & processes to drive superior performance (taking account of Nestlé principles, policies & local context, employee representatives). 

              
Project Management :
Maintain an understanding of risks and drive mitigation actions related to major project management, to ensure commitment to business priorities. Maintain competences and key expertises, anticipate future needs in poriority areas. 

              
Communication :
 Promote and foster an environment of open communication globally. Promote and drive local well being actions and internal events. Coordinate PR and internal/external communications.  

             
Networking :
Work as part of cross functional teams (Nestlé Research, RD in France, NIM) to deploy latest HR practices and processes.
