The Nestlé Plant Science Research Unit located in the Loire Valley in Tours (France), is part of the Nestlé Research Organization whose main center is located in Lausanne, Switzerland. Nestlé Research combines fundamental science at the highest level, high-end analytical platforms leveraged by all research teams, and strong capabilities to accelerate the translation of science into innovation. Nestlé Research published around 1000 scientific publications in peer review journals over the last five years, and files about 80 patents every year. Nestlé Research collaborates with approximately 100 universities or research institutes around the world. The Plant Science team, builds knowledge on strategic crops with the aim of developing new plant materials in order to deliver quality products through better and sustainable farming.
Position snapshot
• Plant Science Research Unit – Tours (37) – Position based in Tours (France) or Lausanne (Switzerland)
• MSc with a minimum of 8 years of experience and a successful experience in transversal management. PhD is a plus
• Experience in agriculture farming, coffee agriculture is a plus.o data science concepts, encompassing statistics and analysis
• Flexibility to travel internationally to experimental farms
• Base salary to be defined according to profile + bonus + profit-sharing; attractive employee savings scheme

As a Coffee and Cocoa Agronomist, you will establish and build competence in agronomic and regeneration agricultural science research. You will provide strategic direction and leadership in coffee and cocoa agriculture Research and Development, building project portfolio to deliver on Nestlé's commitment on sustainability and climate change, consistent with Global, Zone and Market Business Plans.
Your missions
• Define and execute priorities for coffee and agricultural research. Lead and coordinate agronomic trials with regional managers in Asia, Africa and Latin America.
• Coordinate the agricultural research projects strategy with the different stakeholders: project leaders, researchers, agronomists and operations
• Build and lead strong project portfolio in agronomy research, establish strategic partnerships to address key challenges in agriculture and ingredient supply.
• Propose and drive innovation, liaise with internal and external network to keep abreast of the latest developments, emerging technologies in agriculture.
• Drive engagement and compliance around the agronomic regenerative agriculture science
• Properly communicate on the agricultural research strategy, building appropriate research reports, presentations and proposals
