Position Summary
The Nestlé Product Technology Centre Coffee (NPTC Coffee) is the leading R&D organization that discovers, develops and deploys coffee and beverage products and technologies for in-home and out-of-home consumption. It consists of units in Konolfingen (CH), Marysville (USA), Orbe (CH) and Singapore and provides new products and processes to all Nestlé markets worldwide.

As an Associate Quality Specialist Method, you will be responsible for supporting the development of new methods in collaboration with competence (packaging, system, manufacturing) and project leaders. You will also be involved in validating methods used in R&D labs and pilot lines, working alongside the lab manager. Additionally, you will transfer validated methods to the factory and provide technical assistance related to quality methods.
Specifically, you will be responsible for dimensional measurements and material analysis using various microscope and X-Ray tomography.
A Day in the Life of an Associate Quality Specialist Method
- Manage a specific technical training plan and a general one on lab activities (metrology, statistics etc…)
- Support the proper implementation of the laboratory quality system in accordance with the Good Laboratory Practice Standard
- Collect stakeholders' requirements for defining method requirements in collaboration with the lab manager, project manager and experts
- Actively contribute to the development of new method, improvements in existing methods and standards whenever possible
- Design experimental plans for validating measurement methods and perform uncertainty and capability assessment using statistical tool and models
- Organize the implementation of the validation plan and provide assistance as needed
- Develop and enhance Nestlé standards based on specific NSTC needs

- Master's degree in engineering (physical, mechanical, applied science)
- Solid experience operation, laboratory and quality system
- Good knowledge of statistics
- Curious mindset and open for new ideas
- Strong team player
- Fluent in English, French as a strong asset
