Position Summary
As a Capsule & Packaging Lab Supervisor, you will be responsible for coordinating daily and weekly laboratory activities to ensure timely delivery of results aligned with business priorities. You will drive the development and execution of standardized analytical methods to support the development and industrialization of functional packaging, including system performance. Additionally, you will scout for new analytical technologies and maintain best-in-class R&D lab facilities to enhance our knowledge of packaging features and performance.
A Day in the Life of a Capsule & Packaging Lab Supervisor
- Apply SHE rules and ensure continuous improvement in Safety, Health, and Environment
- Manage workplace health and safety with strong leadership and credibility
- Coordinate daily and weekly laboratory activities, acting as the first contact for all technical and analytical group-related activities
- Define and review the activity plan with the team to ensure timely results delivery to PM and R&D Specialists.
- Optimize laboratory activities to align with business needs and priorities.
- Contribute to the sustainable and functional packaging expertise development, supporting the industrialization of new capsules / systems
- Enable individual and team performance through safety practices, compliance, and continuous improvements
What will make you successful
- Federal Brevet in analytical physics or equivalent education profile (DUT/BTS) with extensive R&D laboratory experience, or Master’s degree in physics, material science, or other relevant fields
- Mastery of good laboratory practices and safety
- Knowledge of method development / validation
- Strong experience and knowledge of food packaging properties and development
- Skills in microscopy and metrology
- Analytical thinking and a highly developed problem-solving mindset
- Leadership capabilities, autonomy and result-oriented mindset
- Commitment to a strong work ethic, integrity, honesty, safety, compliance and quality
- Fluency in English and French
