Position Summary

 

We are currently looking for a Process & Machinery Safety Engineer that will support the site/unit process & machinery safety implementation through application of the Nestlé S&H Management System (NSMS) and industrials norms and standards. You will also provide leadership across all parts of the site/unit to enable staff to realize their S&H goals and create pride in their achievements. Finally, you will support the category by managing all category specific standards and guidelines.

A day in the life of a Process & Machinery Safety Engineer

 

  • Own/Acquire/Source the expertise and methodology in the field of machinery and process safety
  • Identify safety priorities, current & future challenges, and opportunities for implementation at category/site/unit level
  • Guide implementation and communication of the strategy
  • Ensure training and coaching is provided to managers, team leaders and engineers to help them take ownership, and lead & manage P&M Safety within their area of responsibility
  • Develop & coordinate P&M safety networks of professionals, champions, and SMEs for the category
  • Develop their functional and leadership competencies and ensure robust succession plans for key P&M safety positions
  • Support activities and co-ordinate internal & external resources to ensure delivery of high quality and efficient Process Safety deliveries
What will make you successful

 

Has demonstrated the following competences such as:

  • Mechanical/Technical background, engineering degree, postgraduate in Process safety
  • Knowledge & experience in Safety management and process hazard analysis method (ATEX, HAZOP, LOPA machinery directive)
  • 5 - 7 years of field experience in industrial/process in an operational Pharmaceutical, chemistry or Food & Beverage environment
  • Working in, and leading, cross-functional teams
  • Translating policies & standards into practical action plans
  • Experience in designing technical solutions to coach individuals and teams in different environments
  • Fluent in English and good knowledge of French
