The Nestlé Product Technology Centre Beverage in Orbe is the leading Nestlé Coffee and Beverages Competence Centre that develops products and production processes for in-home and out-of-home consumption. The product category departments consists of units in Konolfingen, Marysville, Orbe and Singapore and provide new products and processes to all Nestlé markets worldwide. They are the owner of the science and technology roadmaps for its category.

Position Summary

 

As an Experienced Design & Innovation Manager in Packaging, you will have to lead the creative ideation and design development process of new packaging innovations and renovations from inception through all stages of development & deployment. As well as provide strong design-creative leadership and guidance within the organization, supported by technical RD competences.

A day in the life of an Experienced Design & Innovation Manager in Packaging

 

  • Proactively draft, own and drive a global innovation roadmap for Beverages packaging
  • Explore breakthrough concepts, materials and related technologies that bring a competitive advantage and creatively
  • Build a strong ecosystem of design partners to support the innovation program.
  • Plan and deliver design / creative leadership for the assigned projects
  • Lead and manage knowledge building and business related project activities
  • Ensure projects/activities are managed within agreed deliverables, timelines and costs
  • Elevate the delivery by driving an agenda full of creative, effective and sustainable packaging solutions
  • Run ideation sessions and workshops independently to generate new concept ideas
  • Lead the development of concepts into product solutions feasible from a business perspective
  • Provide training in respective area of expertise
  • Instill design thinking and passion within the beverage business
  • Develop packaging related tools and training to support competence build and dissemination of packaging best practices and knowledge
     
What will make you successful

 

  • Master Degree level in Industrial Design or Packaging
  • Min 7 years of relevant working experience (combined experience in corporate and design agency environment is a plus)
  • Significant exposure in different parts of the organization (assignments in different Centers or in Operations, or different organizations)
  • Strong competence in presenting and communication
  • Personal drive when facilitating workshops
  • Ability to work with cross functional stakeholders
  • Agility and capacity to deliver a diversity of projects in parallel
  • Fluent in English (any other langue is a plus)
