As an Innovation Insight Intern at Nestlé Product Technology Centre Coffee, your mission will be to uncover emerging consumer needs, cultural shifts and marketplace signals, and translate them into meaningful opportunities for the future of coffee.
Working within the Front-End Innovation team, you will contribute to strategic projects across global coffee brands, including Nescafé, Starbucks, Nespresso, Nescafé Dolce Gusto. You will collaborate with innovation, consumer insights, design and R&D experts, gaining hands-on experience at the intersection of consumer understanding, foresight and innovation.
How you’ll make an impact as an Innovation Insight Intern
- Conduct trend scouting, foresight and social listening activities to identify emerging consumer behaviours, cultural shifts and future opportunities
- Map marketplace developments, brands and sources of inspiration to support innovation projects
- Contribute to qualitative and quantitative consumer research, data analysis and insight generation
- Help transform research findings into innovation territories, opportunity spaces and consumer-led concepts
- Create clear presentations, recommendations and compelling stories from complex information
- Support the preparation and facilitation of workshops with internal teams and external partners
- Support the AI-transformation journey of the team
- Explore and embed AI-powered approaches to accelerate innovation development and team workflows
What will make you successful
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Consumer Insights, Psychology, Sociology, Marketing, Business, Innovation, Statistics or a related field
- Initial experience or strong interest in consumer research, including qualitative or quantitative methods, trend analysis, strategy or innovation
- Ability to analyse and synthesize complex information and transform it into clear insights, recommendations and opportunity areas
- Confidence using PowerPoint and Canva, together with curiosity for generative AI tools. Familiarity with Excel and Mural is an advantage
- Strong written, visual and verbal storytelling skills, with fluency in English
- You demonstrate courage, collaboration, speed and continuous learning while translating ideas into meaningful impact and creating shared value
