Position Summary
As an Intelligent Robotics Intern, you will support the Nestlé Deep Tech Center in the development of intelligent robotic platforms, with a strong focus on robot learning and programming. This role offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in embodied AI / physical AI, allowing you to experiment techniques with vision‑language‑action models, imitation learning, reinforcement learning, as well as Sim2Real transfer.
The role reports directly to the Applied Machine Learning R&D Specialist, in the Artificial Intelligence group.
A Day in the Life of an Intelligent Robotics Intern
- Designing and implementing learning‑based policy pipelines (e.g. behavior cloning, imitation learning, reinforcement learning) for different robotic platforms
- Using physics‑based simulators to prototype, train, and evaluate policies, with a focus on Sim2Real transfer
- Experimenting with embodied / physical AI approaches, including vision‑language‑action models and robot foundation models, and assessing their applicability to real‑world tasks
- Building and maintaining training pipelines, datasets, and evaluation setups for robot learning experiments
- Running controlled experiments, analyzing results, and iterating on models and system design
- Staying close to current research and advances in Physical AI, and translating relevant ideas into real use-cases and applied solutions
What will make you successful
- Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a master’s degree in Robotics, Artificial Intelligence, Computer Science, or a related field
- Foundations in machine learning and basic data engineering
- Familiarity with robot learning approaches (e.g. imitation learning, reinforcement learning, policy learning); exposure to robot foundation models or world models is a plus
- Knowledge about robotics simulators such as NVIDIA Omniverse / Isaac Sim, MuJoCo, or similar environments
- Curiosity and motivation to follow research and latest advances in robotics, machine learning, etc.
- English (professional working proficiency); French is a plus
