Position Summary

 

As a Line Supervisor in a R&D environment, you will ensure the interface between projects managers and the pilot plant. As well as, guarantee the smooth execution of the trials in compliance with safety and food safety rules.
Moreover, you will have to manage a team of operators and the development, innovation and renovation of products/processes/systems from inception through all stages of development. In addition, you will build your expertise and apply your knowledge in the field to provide relevant scientific/technical guidance in response to business and consumer needs. 

A day in the life of a Line Supervisor

 

  • Enforce safety, personal hygiene and guidelines
  • Ensure compliance of installations
  • Monitor the maintenance of the installations
  • Development and follow-up of continuous operator training with competency and skills matrix in addition to raining documents
  • Be a partner of project managers in order to carry out trials in accordance with business expectations
  • Provide technological expertise to project managers
  • Guarantor of the efficiency of operational reviews
  • Leader & Sponsor of problem solving activities
  • Guarantor of personnel management in accordance with local laws
  • Follow planning requests according to business priorities and consolidate this planning with the various group and department heads
     
What will make you successful

 

  • Education in food process engineering or technical field
  • Min 5 years of R&D / factory/or operational experience
  • Willingness to manage a team and to develop leadership skills
  • Operational experience is a plus
  • Track records in continuous improvement is an asset
  • Computer skills: Excel, Word, current PPT
  • Sufficient knowledge of English to hold a technical discussion with project managers, or present his work to foreign visitors
