Company: Nestlé System Technology Center Orbe 
Act. Rate: Full-Time 
Type of contract: Permanent contract 
5 years’ experience in Operations and/or R&D industrialization 
Mobility is a must, visit to suppliers and NDG factories at different markets needed (up to 30% travel)
Graduate in Process or Chemistry Engineering, preferably in food (coffee)
Several years’ experience in production centers (with preference in Nestlé)
Able to work in a (international) network and interact with Production, Developer peers across the Organisation
Fluent English and good knowledge of French 

Position Summary

 

As Manufacturing Support Specialist, you will manage the validation of new system, processes, capsule, Pod and sachet assembly with the factories and the development team whilst continually reviewing existing practices to ensure compliance with Nestle standards and seek improvements in manufacturing performance, product quality, cost and safety of existing products.

A day in the life of a Manufacturing Support Specialist

 

  • Participate and/or drive new system validation and/or upgraded equipment projects and trials at Factory level with focus on line performance, cost efficiency on time delivery and product quality
  • Organize and document factory trials/start-up
  • Conduct value analysis by identifying and recommending source reduction opportunities 
  • Initiate and/or participate in DMAIC exercises of safety related consumer complains
  • Coordinate and validate, Approval, Release by being the Recipe Guardian Keeper for new system
  • Support factory QMS related quality and compliance directives also ensure same level of high-quality controls executions in all production centers, through standardization
  • Ensure development of competencies and mastership in new and current system/new and current process knowledge, capsule, pod and sachet assembly lines & disseminate Nestlé's best practices and knowledge
  • Source and use training materials available within the Group/business (or develop training materials as appropriate)
  • Support factories to gain Capacity and efficiency in upstream process as also in Capsule, pod and sachet Assembly Lines and Materials/Products usage
  • Ensure critical consumer complaints analysis, propose and implement corrective actions

What will make you successful

 

  • Graduate in Process, Mechanical or Chemistry Engineering, preferably in food (coffee)                                                                  
  • Several years’ experience in production centers 
  • Able to work in an international network & interact with various stakeholders 
  • Look constantly for existing good practices to be "imported" & implemented
  • Process application
  • Analytical problems solving approach
  • Project management
  • Fluent English
