What is a Nesternship?

 

A virtual internship which will allow you to boost your digital skills, entrepreneurial spirit, as well as your agility to deal 
with different situations. In addition to that, you will be working on real life projects where you can have a hand in making 
an impact in the world’s largest food and beverage company.

Position Summary

 

As an R&D Trainee, you will be building a numerical model predicting coffee pod quality based on available data on green 
coffee, conversion processes, pod production data and coffee extraction data using machine learning techniques.

A day in the life of an R&D Trainee

 

• Acquire, standardize, cluster data that come from the entire value chain
• Design and execute tests to generate necessary additional data to support predictive models
• Prepare and clean data, propose and test feature-engineering ideas, design, program and optimize machine learning 
pipelines using Python or R
• Validate model candidates with appropriate DoE’s

What will make you successful

 

• Currently enrolled in a university program in Data Science, Machine Learning or related field
• Familiar with cloud computing (preferably MS Azure ecosystem)
• Knowing or willing to learn how to manipulate in-cloud data pipelines (IoT Hub, dataLake, dataBricks, dataFactory, 
storage accounts, databases, PowerBI, virtual machines…)
• Fluent in Python or R
• Being able to synthetize, consolidate and present complex information to non-scientific audiences
