As a Packaging Senior Specialist – Global Research and Development Expert for PET (Polyethylene Terephthalate) Bottle Development at Nestlé Coffee, your mission is to lead the development of innovative, competitive and scalable PET bottle solutions that respond to business, consumer and sustainability needs. You’ll make a difference by collaborating closely with packaging, research and development, technical, procurement, supply chain, factory and supplier partners across markets. How you’ll make an impact as a Packaging Senior Specialist – Global Research and Development Expert for PET (Polyethylene Terephthalate) Bottle Development

  • Leading the full PET bottle development journey, from early concepts and three-dimensional design through validation, piloting and factory implementation.
  • Driving innovative packaging solutions that improve performance, quality, sustainability and consumer experience across global product categories.
  • Building strong partnerships with suppliers to develop PET bottle, preform and closure solutions that can be scaled reliably in production.
  • Delivering complex packaging projects on time and within budget by aligning technical priorities, timelines and key milestones.
  • Sharing specialist knowledge with packaging and operations teams to strengthen capability, transfer learning and support better decision-making.
  • Identifying new technologies and optimisation opportunities that help shape the future of the Nestlé bottle portfolio.

 

What will make you successful

  • Holding a Master’s degree in Engineering, Chemistry, Mechanics, Processing, Packaging, Industrial Design or an equivalent field.
  • Bringing strong knowledge of PET bottle and preform development, structural design, testing, validation and factory implementation.
  • Applying packaging development expertise to improve bottle forming, barrier technologies, closure compatibility and circular design solutions.
  • Coordinating cross-functional projects with internal teams, factories, suppliers and external partners in a global environment.
  • Influencing stakeholders through clear communication, pragmatic problem-solving and the ability to turn technical ideas into scalable solutions.
  • Communicating with working proficiency in English.
  • Being open to travel up to 20% as part of the role.
  • Demonstrating courage, collaboration, speed and continuous learning.
