Position Summary 

 

We are looking for a Process Engineering Specialist, to be responsible for leading the development, innovation, and renovation of liquid processing technologies for Cereals. This includes liquid ingredient handling, wet-mixing, heat treatment, hydrolysis, and integration with CIP systems. You will design new solutions, optimize existing processes, and troubleshoot installed systems to ensure efficiency, quality, and sustainability.

 

A Day in the Life of a Process Engineering Specialist

 

  • Support product Innovation & Renovation projects with engineering expertise.
  • Scout new technologies and processes with strategic suppliers.
  • Drive technology and process innovation in collaboration with all business partners.
  • Validate pilot technologies and efficiently upscale technologies for vertical start-up.
  • Provide timely assistance to operations with effective and sustainable solutions.
  • Define and analyze engineered solutions to improve line efficiency and product quality.
  • Lead competence development through training and coaching initiatives.
  • Provide engineering support to Capex projects ensuring compliance with standards.
  • Collect key learnings and implement feedback-to-design for continuous improvement.

 

 

What will make you successful

 

  • Bachelor’s or higher degree level in a related engineering field (chemical engineering, mechanical engineering, bioprocessing engineering etc).
  • Up-to-date knowledge of quality, safety, hygiene requirements, and Net Zero technologies.
  • Solid R&D or operating/factory experience including CAPEX management.
  • Experience in the design, installation, and commissioning of liquid processing technologies and CIP systems.
  • Knowledge of regulatory, safety, and hygienic design requirements in the food industry.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in troubleshooting processing in an industrial environment.
  • Basic knowledge of CAD systems.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to interact professionally with a diverse group, including managers, technicians, operators, and subject matter experts.
  • Good level of English (spoken, read), and other language would be a plus.
