Position Summary  

 

The Nestlé Product Technology Centre Coffee (NPTC Coffee) is the leading R&D organization that discover, develop and deploy coffee and beverage products and technologies for in-home and out-of-home consumption. It consists of units in Konolfingen (CH), Marysville (USA), Orbe (CH) and Singapore and provide new products and processes to all Nestlé markets worldwide.

We are currently looking for a Product Development Trainee to develop new solutions to optimize the powders physical properties for innovation in the coffee mixes product category.

A Day in the Life of a Product Development Trainee

 

  • Perform design of experiments to identify solution(s) with defined properties Organize preparation of prototypes as needed to present outcome of developed solutions
  • Ensure development of selected solutions as planned in defined internship objective
  • Effectively manage scope changes through proactive and open communication
  • Anticipate issues and provide alternative solution(s)
  • Assessment of sustainability impact of solutions being developed with support from project manager 
  • Plan and execute effectively resources needs as required for activities completion
  • Share regularly results of internship within technology group
  • Create synergies through effective networking with all relevant stakeholders within the NPTC as needed for the effective completion of the internship
  • Close interaction with Technology team members


What will make you successful

 

  • Bachelor or Master diploma in progress or completed, in the field of Science and Technology, with a preference for Material sciences, Chemistry, Physics
  • Communication skills and ability to build personal relationships based on trust 
  • Networking capabilities and experience in multidisciplinary teamwork 
  • Strong interest for innovation and a mindset open to taking risks
  • Fluent in English. French is a strong asset
