The focus of the internship will be on analysing nutritional compounds, understanding extraction behaviours (e.g., subcritical water extraction), characterising ingredient functionality, and supporting the scientific foundation of the DeepBrew concept.
The role reports directly to the New System Component Lead and works closely with experts in nutrition, chemistry, flavour science, and process engineering. It is a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience at the intersection of nutrition science, analytical chemistry, and early-stage system innovation.
A Day in the Life of a Nutrition Analysis & Functional Ingredients Intern
Contribute to the scientific validation and optimisation of functional ingredient solutions by:
- Conducting nutritional and compositional analyses on selected raw materials
- Studying extraction performance under different process conditions (temperature, pressure, flow, pH)
- Characterising health-beneficial compounds, their stability, and their release profile
- Supporting the design of new ingredient formats compatible with DeepBrew’s smart dosing and extraction technologies
- Participating in data analysis and documentation supporting the concept’s scientific evidence
What will make you successful
- Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a Bachelor’s or Master’s in Food Science, Nutrition, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology, or a related field
