Position Summary  

 

The Nestlé Product Technology Centre Coffee (NPTC Coffee) is the leading R&D organization that discovers, develops and deploys coffee and beverage products and technologies for in-home and out-of-home consumption. It consists of units in Konolfingen (CH), Marysville (USA), Orbe (CH) and Singapore and provides new products and processes to all Nestlé markets worldwide.

The Nutrition Health & Wellness team at the NPTC Coffee translates Nestlé Corporate nutrition strategy into concrete recommendations for our coffee brands (such as NESCAFÉ, NESCAFÉ Dolce Gusto, Starbucks) and provides nutritional guidance to the reformulation or development of new coffee beverages. As an R&D Nutritionist Intern, you will learn about the application of nutrition science in product innovation and reformulation for various product categories. You will assist in ensuring that our products align with the latest nutritional guidelines and meet the evolving needs and preferences of our consumers.


A Day in the Life of an R&D Nutritionist Intern

 

  • Support innovation and renovation projects by evaluating recipes against internal and external requirements, and help guide product nutrition and health messaging and claims.
  • Help identify nutrition gaps and opportunities for portfolio growth while staying informed about nutrition science and consumer trends.
  • Conduct literature monitoring on relevant topics
  • Engage with and learn from the Nestlé nutritionist network.

 

What will make you successful

 

  • Master’s degree student in Human Nutrition, Nutrition science, Food Sciences with specialization in Nutrition or a related field
  • Previous experience in conducting a literature search, 
  • Experience working in a matrix and cross-functional organization a plus
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, positive work attitude
  • Proactive approach to work, with the ability to meet deadlines and deliver high-quality results
  • Analytical mindset with proficiency in Excel a plus
  • Fluent in English, French is a plus
