Position Summary

As a “Packaging Specialist”, you will support and lead various packaging development projects, placing a strong emphasis on sustainability and innovation. You will leverage your technical background in packaging materials and manufacturing processes, while utilizing your excellent project management and communication skills to drive success in these initiatives. In this role, you will collaborate cross-functionally (Suppliers, Quality, Supply Chain, Factories, etc.) to lead packaging projects from ideation up to industrialization.


A Day in the Life of an Packaging Specialist

  • Lead new packaging projects from ideation to launch (I2L) and ensure ensuring innovative and effective packaging solutions for the Nutrition Category
  • Assist in technical activities for major sustainability programs, contributing to environmental responsibility.
  • Oversee both physical and digital prototyping capabilities to support packaging development and innovation for marketplace events.
  • Serve as the packaging subject matter expert for Nutrition Technical Unit in Orbe, providing technical guidance and expertise.
  • Conduct feasibility studies to assess timing, technical risks, compliance and costing for packaging projects.
  • Collaborate with Quality, Supply Chain, Suppliers, and Factory teams to ensure successful project outcomes and alignment across functions.
  • Effectively manage and prioritize multiple packaging projects simultaneously, ensuring timely and successful completion. 


What will make you successful 

  • Background in Packaging Engineering, Materials Science, or related field.
  • Solid experience in leading packaging projects from concept to industrialization with strong understanding of packaging materials and manufacturing processes
  • Experience in sustainable packaging is a plus.
  • Strong organizational skills; able to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills; can explain technical information clearly.
  • Creative thinker with a passion for new packaging solutions.
  • Ability to work well with cross-functional teams.
  • Full business proficiency in English
