Position Summary
The Nestlé System Technology Centre (NSTC) in Orbe is Nestlé’s leading R&D centre for the design, development and deployment of Nestlé delivery systems, offering expertise in machines, packaging and products for in-home and out-of-home.

As a “R&D Software Development Electronics Specialist”, you will lead the development of electronics and software of new & existing in-home and out-of-home coffee machines and water dispenser. You will ensure E2E development on time & costs, ensure proper functionalities implementation and state of the art user experience. In this role, you will act as specialist for all electronics & software challenges and identify and promote new opportunities.

A Day in the Life of a R&D Software Development Electronics Specialist
- Act as specialist for Software development, write machine software requirements, test plan, ensure proper development with external partner, validation and documentation of the SW.
- Design and execute tests to generate necessary data to validate the solutions.
- Manage and optimize external software development companies, close gaps on accuracy & quality
- Standardize and improve E2E software solutions, process.
- Connect and collaborate with machine Project manager, chip manufacturer, electronics manufacturers, other specialist/experts from the Machine Department team.
- Stakeholders and project management: Ensure overall technical project preparation risk evaluation, COGS assessment, technical requirements, planning, budget (equipment, manpower, financial).
- Demonstrate proof of concepts (feasibility and viability) of new Software / Hardware solutions (image recognition; machine learning; wireless communication; IOT solution).
What will make you successful
- University degree (Master or PHD) in Electronics, Computer Science or Micro-Engineering.
- 5+ years of experience on SW(Software) development & external partner management for small appliances.
- 3+ years of experience using SW(Software) management tools Jira, Git & Confluence.
- Good knowledge on embedded software development for microcontrollers, C and C++.
- Good knowledge on HMI development for touch screens, QT and Linux for embedded devices.
- Good knowledge on data management and connectivity platform.
- Proven Project management skills.
- Able to understand project challenges and identify solutions.
- Able to synthetize, consolidate and present complex information to non-scientific audiences.
- Dream to work for international leader company on food and beverage.
- Strong in interacting within a group of passionate engineers, work in a multidisciplinary team.
- Good English speaker.
