Position summary

Position Summary

 

With a fundamental focus on mastering flexible and rigid packaging, manage the innovation, development and renovation of functional packaging for beverage systems from concept to launch in full alignment with business needs.
You will have to build your expertise and applies your knowledge in the field of functional packaging for coffee and beverage systems as well and filling and sealing lines.
Expertise in biodegradable materials and paper-based material is an asset to perform in this position.

A day in the life of a Senior Engineer in sustainable packaging for Coffee and Beverage systems

 

  • Propose new ideas/concepts/activities/methods in terms of materials development, design and characterization
  • Put in place developments and technical assistance with external partners, universities and suppliers
  • Manage knowledge building and business related project activities with initiative
  • Ensuring all stage gates are closed timely and within project costs, and performing risk assessment analysis and early equipment warning
  • Explore patentable technologies and processes
  • Provide accurate and on-time support to operation and help provide effective and sustainable solutions
  • Give support to customers, assistance in industrialization start-ups, follow-up product launches, including technical and product improvements
  • Ensure zero waste and vertical start up
  • Activates relevant internal and external networks to deliver the project and to ensure that best knowledge is put in the project
  • Develop related tools and competencies in the domain of activity
  • Actively contribute in knowledge transfer and dissemination between different sites (R&D, Org. Units)
What will make you successful

 

  • Master/PhD degree in Packaging/material Sciences
  • Min 10 years of R&D and industrialization experience
  • At least 1 experience in food industry 
  • Mastership of 6 Sigma methodology is a definitive plus 
  • Senior Packaging Engineer with expertise in packaging and converting processes (flexible and rigid packaging)
  • High experience in packaging development and industrialization at factories
  • Experience in biodegradable packaging / paper based packaging are required
  • Excellent communication skills in English (written/oral)
