Position Summary
As a Regulatory & Scientific Affairs (RSA) Specialist, you will coordinate and complete regulatory assessments of Nestlé Professional (NP) NPTC-led projects; coordinate product labelling / communications compliance with Market RSA and relevant Business's RSA Managers as appropriate. Assess and review NP communications ensuring sufficient substantiation are available and participate in Risk Assessments with RSA expertise.
You will also provide RSA expertise supporting NP Business plans and gives input to business & technical in way of working.
A Day in the Life of a Regulatory & Scientific Affairs Specialist
- Perform Regulatory Assessments for NP projects
- Ensure regulatory compliance of newly developed recipes, raw / packaging materials and products, labelling and any kind of product communication by working in close collaboration with marketing, nutritionists, quality, sustainability, packaging experts and development teams for product compliance and contribution to relevant networks
- Identify potential regulatory risks and proposed alternatives. When necessary, elaborate and implement action plans with cross-functional team to mitigate risks
- Assess in collaboration with the business commercial team product-related communication from a regulatory perspective
- Ensure optimal use / sharing of available regulatory know-how (knowledge management) through CT-RSA (Corporate Regulatory and scientific affairs), ‘RSA in R&D’ and Market RSA networks
- Regularly review REWES (Regulatory Early warnings) and assess impact on NP business and communicate actions as needed
What will make you successful
- Minimum BSc in Food Science, Food Technology, Nutrition/Dietetics, Health Sciences, etc.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in Regulatory in food industry in EU
- Recorded achievements in sustainability related RSA challenges
- Additional work experience in Plant based alternatives /food business
- Professional experience in industry associations and/or governmental bodies an asset
- Recognized as a credible RSA specialist
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management & project management skill
- Fluency in English, French or German could be a plus
