As a Sustainability Coordinator you will actively shape the sustainability I&R project portfolio for both in-home and out-of-home beverage systems by working across functional teams and in close collaboration with internal and external stakeholders. Follow up on the evolution of new legislations and identified challenges and opportunities for NSTC pipeline.
You will change the way sustainability is embedded in our system solutions and design mindset from ideation, industrialization to end-of-life. You will be advocating for change internally and with our suppliers, partners and authorities to support the implementation of Nestlé’s corporate commitment on sustainability in a dynamic regulatory context.
You will drive the environmental agenda across our portfolio of product, packaging and machine projects while ensuring a consumer centric approach and compliance with our stage gate process.


A Day in the Life of a Sustainability coordinator in an R&D environment

 

  • Act as the single point of contact for sustainability with stakeholders and coordinate activities across the NSTC
  • Link with experts, project and line managers in the NSTC and animate a community around sustainability across competences & categories
  • Align, lead and execute the system sustainability strategies of each business unit to support Nestlé's sustainability commitment
  • Ensure the integration of sustainability aspects in all phases of our projects
  • Ensure alignment of NSTC project portfolio with Nestlé’s Sustainability Commitments / Global R&D / Operations across NSTC categories
  • Act as driving member of Nestlé sustainability networks internal & external advocacy
  • Liaise with stakeholders and teams to ensure inclusion and alignment on the sustainability strategy elaboration and execution
  • Identify resources and means to ensure success of the projects: planning, budget (equipment, manpower, financial)
  • Challenge and benchmark internally and externally, projects, programs, procedures and ways of working

 

What will make you successful

 

  • University degree in technical or scientific field with specialization in sustainability
  • Min 5 years in product development with focus on design for sustainability/eco-design of functional packaging and/or electronic appliances 
  • Proven experience in durable goods industry with track records
  • Passionate about sustainability with the ability to create engagement and to energize
  • Strong experience in project management and tools: e.g.: PMP, Agile
  • Strong leadership in managing cross-functional teams
  • Solid organizational skills and capacity to collaborate and communicate with internal and external stakeholders 
  • Business acumen, connecting internally, communicating, convincing stakeholders
  • Customer oriented and objective driven
  • Fluent in French and English, German an asset
