The Nestlé System Technology Centre (NSTC) in Orbe is Nestlé’s leading R&D centre for the design, development and deployment of Nestlé delivery systems, offering expertise in machines, packaging and products for in-home and out-of-home.

As System Senior Quality Specialist HACCP & Microbiology, you will support Quality Specialists and Project Managers on hygienic design and HACCP for machine NSTC projects. 
You will deliver expertise on hygienic design and HACCP to all NSTC competencies and external partners (e.g. suppliers), ensuring Food safety & compliance by Design for our Machines and Systems.                                

 

A Day in the Life of a System Senior Quality Specialist HACCP & Microbiology

 

  • Apply Safety, Health, and Environment rules and drive continuous improvement in SHE
  • Lead the execution of food safety risk assessments (HACCP) for food and beverage systems
  • Develop comprehensive testing plans (e.g. challenge tests) to ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and regulatory standards
  • Create and manage guidance documents (e.g., model-HACCP studies) and training modules for hygienic design of systems
  • Actively monitor and stay updated on competition and technical developments
  • Promote and develop awareness of Quality by Design among stakeholders involved in the development process
  • Facilitate knowledge transfer and dissemination between sites (R&D, Org. Units) and external partners
  • Participate and be the Single Point of Contact for NSTC on Nestlé Knowledge networks
  • Define the drivers and activities related to the hygienic design Science&Technology pillar


What will make you successful

 

  • University graduate or equivalent, ideally in food microbiology or food engineering
  • At least 7 years of experience in food safety
  • Expertise in hygienic design, engineering and cleaning validation
  • Strong ability to train others 
  • Strong ability to prioritize
  • Ability to manage various stakeholders with different modes of communication
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken), French is a plus
